This is the last post i’m gonna make about the tournament.
If you didn’t catch the what, like 5 or 6 posts in page 14 plus the many multiple 2-3+ posts per each page since like earlier in October I don’t know what to say if you’re an SRK user and post in the NC threads or frequent them.
Come out tomorrow, it’s gonna be great, if you don’t have the info all of it’s right there in the srk thread, on the main page plus some of my posts near the end.
AE, Marvel and 3SO are on XBOX 360, everything else is PS3.
Bring converters.
EZ is a 24/7 venue so you don’t even have to go after the tournament is over, you can play until theirs no more setups, even then if you wanna go and play PC games or other non fighting games you can pay for an extra pass and play that all night if you really want to. No rush to leave.

Good shit to everyone at the tournament yesterday. The AE tournament was full of killers, and so was the KOF tournament.
Shoutouts to calling people out on stream for not going to a tournament (particularly so when one of the people being called out has a night class that lasts until 7:45), then not showing up to the tournament that weekend. Keep it up…you’ll definitely be taken seriously that way.

You both KNOW FOR A FACT that I have a class on Wednesday nights that prevents me from coming to WNB for the semester (I get out at 7:45. That would put me at WNB at around 9:15, long after it would be possible to enter). While Lu has a reason for not coming, Javier, you don’t, which is unfortunate considering that this tournament had EVERYONE there except for you guys. Roski, Angus, James, Me, Jon, Gamewizard, Blake, Brent…Basically everyone in NC that plays the game was there. Have you considered Tekken? You guys have a lot in common with their scene; you’d probably get along great.
It doesn’t matter though. This KOF scene has done nothing but shrink and complain, while taking no action to fix anything. I’m done with it, and will be returning the game this week.

No, my reason was that I didn’t feel the environment in this state was such that I could improve enough to be where I wanted to be. I said I didn’t have exposure to the RDU style, which is more frantic and less measured than the way that James and I play, and that unless I did then I couldn’t accomplish what I want to accomplish.
More than that, though, what’s the point? There’s no national scene for the game. Who are we training to beat? Each other?
I’m just too good. Time to level up in another game. More Hate. I love it. I will soon take over everything. Just wait.

We don’t really ever leave NC but like once a year anyway. Not much of a contingent point. If NC is playing it, and we are as far as KoF goes, you should stick with it. If we ONLY played what had a big US scene, it’d be all Capcom for the most part.
I don’t ever play outside of tournaments really so it’s not like I have a huge advantage and am grinding / trying to level up. Lu, Javier, and Roski have all pretty much passed me as far as KoF goes so I don’t think you should beat yourself up over your location too much. Getting to play James is playing one more person than I play in KoF, so atleast you have someone good in your area.
I’m still salty from cross up dive kick exposure yesterday. Atleast Clark didn’t face fuck me this time. Just a couple more matchups to go…
Good games to everyone at KDP this weekend! Forgive the random rage rants I had, but that Aquapazza though…is that drugs in playable form?! I couldn’t get enough of it and arm has been itching since I got back. Brent, Jon, Doug, Mike, Aaron, and the people of the FGC, lend me your energy! We must create the spirit Aquapazza bomb that will save us all!
Again I have only disappointed so many. Failed to enter KOF and now look, everyone wants to quit playing because I failed to enter yet another tournament. But there is yet hope again! I spoke with Brent at KDP and explained that my main focus besides when I get my hands on Tag2 will be KOF. Aquapazza is so good, but KOF needs me I can tell. Plus I feel Jon could have defeated Roski and brought home the gold if only he had my Yuri to train against. So sorry I let you down as well Jon.

Really sorry I let you down Matt and didn’t enter KOF. Had I known I would have entered, but I never meant to let my KOF community down. Especially when so many of you believed in me. :sad:
NECXIII is gonna have KOFXIII next month. Time to get that intense Marshal Law training in!

I should note that I nearly died several times on the way home from Fayetteville, so I probably won’t be doing something like that again anytime soon. Was highly disappointed overall with KDP, though. No one had GG and there was nary a casual setup for KOF, so I played my first tournament match completely cold after having played Tekken casuals for hours. Had some better matches afterwards, but as expected, I’m very rusty at this point. Given the long drive, it wasn’t exactly my favorite experience.
I will try (again) to make WNB this week. It would be nice if someone had GG there.

Nobody had GG on their console (tournament consoles but maybe on casuals), which is also why we didn’t advertise at all for running the game or casuals for it, we had ran it last month with a 100 dollar pot bonus and it didn’t even get 8 entrants but we gave the pot bonus anyway (tournament was hype, but I feel +R is what’s needed to build true interest again.) but in the future if you’re trying to get casuals the reason why we have 4 dedicated casuals setups is for casuals, one of those was mine so just ask myself or Sal if you’re trying to play it and we can put it in for you or if it’s one of the stations someone else is running you can ask them if they have a specific game and if they can run it because people wanna play.
This is basically what the DOA and 3S people did like “hey we haven’t been able to do any casuals for this can we get that going” specifically Seth’s brother for DOA and Thomas for 3S, and also what people did before the tournaments were all starting for Xbox games since they didn’t wanna go in cold but I guess it’s just a matter of being more clear next time that pretty much before the tournament and during the tournament if there’s demand for casuals on a game and we have setups for it we can get that going as long as we have the game. We even barely managed to but got a SFXT casuals station going because it was requested.
As far as GG at WNB if you’re in the TH group on FB ask those guys if anyone has bought it yet or see if they are interested in getting it or potentially holding tournaments for it in the future. If you own it they also aren’t adverse to people bringing setups given you ask them if you can do it.
A lot of us were talking and it was great having you out at WNB. Know you’re pretty busy on Wednesdays sometimes so anytime you can make it out I know the KoF scene atleast those of us that show there are very appreciative of you coming out. Always learn something playing you guys. Thanks for the support.
I guess other than that i’ll just make a general post about how if you want something then just ask for it, I can basically speak for the WNB guys that if there’s interest in anything if theirs room for it and people are going to support it or want to play something at some event just let someone know during the event running it and if they have the game on hand they can do that and we can do that so just speak out about it.
Overall it’s just a matter of people realizing, we all have jobs, we have school, we do a lot more stuff than play fighting games but we do this as a passion and we don’t intend to just dickride capcom games or whatever X game is most popular in that if theirs interest just let us know, we will get it into a rotation of games to give a chance, or even casuals stations just let us know it might not be immediate, these games do cost money and can be expensive but we will try to do it if people really really want it.
At WNB they always are playing VF or DOA or TTT2 and all sorts of games, some people bring setups to try to hype up their game like really, if people want something there’s no way to get it unless the factors occur of letting us know it’s wanted, and that theirs a community to support that game at these events.
I can’t speak for the BFP guys but i’m pretty sure they are trying to run what people wanna play at their events too.
Screw this I’m coming out there! Will text before I begin heading over. Will be later into the early night before I leave. I expect to see everyone else who plays KOF out there as well! Enough posting and talking, more playing!
