I, Nick Denty (Daaanty) along with Sterling Franklin (DJSterf) will be hosting a dance and fighting game tournament on Friday October 5th through Sunday October 7th.

-Qualifiers will be announced on Friday October 5th.

-Side/song choice: The higher seed will be given the option to pick either what side they want OR if they want to choose first or second song.

I play Marvel quite a bit and I want to get really good at it, as for KoF I want to try it as it looks like alot of fun. TTT2 is also on my list to try.

NC has always had the talent, but what’s different now is that we have the numbers. Just have to figure out a way to get those numbers together in one place even if it’s once a month to GO HAM together and channel the new and old talent into one movement.
We all love FGs for diff reasons, metting people, competition, the drive to get better which carries over to real life situations and endeavors, the list can go on forever. I love it for all those reasons that’s why I play FG’s Javier!

What Jon means to say about P4A is that he hates fighting Mitsuru. That’s probably the only real problem anyone has lol. She’s awesome.
I have Aquapazza now. HOLY SHIT THIS GAME IS ANIME. Besides that, it plays pretty just must like I thought: Samurai Shodown with strikers/assists. Definitely more of an old school game. It should be easy to learn…I don’t see any weird/unusual system mechanics aside from something kinda like rage.

I used to play fighting games for a lot of the standard reasons you hear about.
Now I just play from the inertia of having played for so long.
Did they ever patch the game? Because that little mage girl is cheap.
haha moreso than Mitsuru I think I’m realizing I just don’t like games with strong reversals. P4 is so mashy, I’ve been playing with some of the Charlotte BB heads and they’re all just constantly doing shit… and it works >_<. You really can’t get away with that in KoF or Marvel. But maybe that’s just anime games in general. No one ever respects anything in those games.
I won Skullgirls at MLG so I’d be down for playing sometime. I’ll probably wait for that new balance patch before trying to figure out anything new, sounds like the game is really changing.
Mitsuru’s reversal is one of the only ones I have a problem with. Combo’s into super, has a dumb hitbox, and you generally have to guess right on a 50/50 if you want to punish with a fatal counter. I think for the rest of them, the risk of getting punished with a high damage combo generally evens out the reward for landing them.
I dunno, most of them are mashable in strings / combos / whatever. It feels like I’m playing anime SF4. And if not their furious action then they have some super they can mash on as well. There’s just way too much of that shit in the game. Atleast in KoF all the stuff that has invincibility can’t be canceled to make it safe for the most part and generally isn’t that good. As opposed to “hits 360 around your character, is completely invincible, and cancels into a half life damage super to mix up people trying to punish you”.

I’m focusing on Persona right now, but I’m down to play anything: SF4, UMvC3, Tekken, KoF, whatever. The rest of the group is open to playing different games as well.
What are the properties on EX dive? Looks faster at least. Also the Mitsuru gave me some new ideas lulz

the majority of us here play PS3. the only thing is that the local tournament held at Champps on Wednesday nights is XBOX. most of us have dual mods of some sort though.
ive been playing TTT2 for the past couple days, and ive come to the conclusion its pretty much a guarantee im done with other fighters (EXCEPT FOR KOF). after waiting so long and suffering through all these other games hopelessly trying to find something I liked, getting frustrated and hating the direction I saw games going in, I actually felt a sense of joy again. its like the skies opened up and the hand of God himself gave me this game lol
