Yeah I found out about the HD bypass I just could never get it consistently enough for me to think it was worth it. HD bypassing a normal is awkward. I am probably more consistent with the drive cancel corner combo than the bypass and drive cancel combo -> Ex Super is probably the same amount of damage as the bypass -> super -> neomax.
It does look really stylish though lol.
Which one are you again? Did you participate in one of the tournaments, or are you just an observer?
I have at least 20 (might have 50 in the next few days) to spend at WNB. If there is no Skullgirls tournament, and if I’m not charged venue for my mm, then all of it is up for grabs, Slayton.
Also, everyone who wants to make sidebets make sure to get there at 6. I don’t want anyone making decisions before they see the match with me vs Arm. It would be unfair to bet otherwise.

Ah shit, that sucks. Would have liked to play you. Anyway, we’re recording the ft5 and the ft10, so if you want to check em out. I won’t let the matches get boring, I promise. Hm… Just realized I could be playing 82 rounds, if everything wants to be down to the wire every match. Ha!
If anyone happens to live near the Roxboro area ( Person County ). I’m holding a small tournament for charity in about three weeks. My local Wal-Mart was looking for ideas and I suggested a fighting tournament.
The entry fee would probably be $10 at the most, depends on how many people seem interested in the next week. There will be a prize for top three, probably a Wal-Mart gift card since all the cash will be going to Duke Children’s Hospital. I suggested to them 50/25/10 but if a lot of people enter than the prize will be bumped up.
I only own Skullgirls ( Since the games can’t be rated M ), so if anyone is coming and is willing to bring a PS3/Xbox ( I can probably supply enough Xbox systems, but help is always appreciated ) and Tekken, SF, or any other T rated fighting games it will be greatly appreciated. I won’t have any patches/DLC for most games so if you bring the game, please try to bring those as well. It’s not extremely important though, since this won’t be a serious tournament.
The TVs will probably be LCD, since we will be using the stores televisions to play. So expect that slight lag, but again it’s for charity and fun so I hope that won’t be a problem.
This idea was thought of about an two hours ago, so no proper planning has been done yet. I just wanted to get the word and idea out ASAP. Any suggestions, ideas, or if you’re interested please hit me up on here or in #Skullgirls on EFnet.
Edit - I noticed some SSB comments. I own a Wii and four GC controllers, so SSBB or SSBM being thrown into the mix is completely viable.
To add to what arm and Brent are talking about with Liz. I found the most useful instance of doing jump>hd + move with her was in the corner. I believe it could be consistent mid screen if someone put in the time though. Also I found it useful when Comboing off her Anti-air magic wand hits so I’d have more time to confirm into damage. However I’m not sure she needs to be blowing all of her bar for 700ish damage when off two opening with the same meter she could do over 500 each time.
It’s still cool though if you don’t want to drop the harder stuff. You can also use it to confirm off qcf>a in the corner like crb>stb>qcfa>stc>activate>super. Or do the same kind of thing mid screen off of like counter hit jump cd.
She’s probably one of the only characters that really gets something out of air activating (and Athena too). It’s costly, but it can be what you need to take the other guy out. Theoretically, and I might try to do this, you could air-to-air with a bypass normal > super > neo. Realistically though, I think it’s more likely to happen after an EX throw or EX dp, provided you have the 4 bars. Those are fairly likely openings at neutral/punishes - it’s hard to open someone up at neutral with her, you often use your specials to do that in some wacky way or you just don’t. Also, a lot of the time when I actually get a solid opening on someone they don’t have anything close to 100% anymore. 70%-ish combos are often kills.
I’ve gotten that ambiguous j.B after the j.A reset, but linking a close C after it is like impossible. A non-deep j.B jump-in…yeah man. I just want a reliable way to cross under them in a reset with qcf B. I’ve done it before, just not sure what the specifics you need are.

what situation are you talking about with a cross under Brent? I know you can get ambiguous ridiculous-ness with the hyper hop jump a set up. Your don’t need to jump though you can just walk forward or not for cross under or not into cl.c >forward b confirm. The only time i do jump B into combo really is after command throw or during hop pressure.
Also I agree with your point about the air bypass. I think it is more just knowing the situations in which it is a good idea vs. not.

I MAY come out since Bali is on the menu and I need another level 10. Plus Bali and KOF just seems too good to pass up. If I come out it’ll be well before you leave for Bali. Otherwise, couldn’t make it.
K’ is easily the king of the air HD bypass, from round start distance he can hit a jump CD and go into a 90%+ combo with 4 bars and full HD. Anytime you have full HD and at least one stock, you can start an HD combo midscreen using an air HD bypass. It also gives him super easy corner confirms off of combos into A Trigger -> Second Shell, just juggle with a stand CD, activate, TK EX air Minutes Spike and continue as normal.

Who here plays Arcana Heart? I know there are a few people. A guy in GA has contacted me about having it at ReSe and was curious if I could get some people out for it. He is working out the details but he is trying to get GA, VA, and AL out for it.

Also I am going to give the Smash scene a chance to run at ReSe this weekend and if it works out good then it will be an official event at ReSe. If you play come out and show your support for it and get it a main event at ReSe. For those of you that are worried about the mix of Smash and FGC don’t be. For it to be there they will have to run it themselves and provide everything for it. ReSe staff will not be helping out in any form other than registration and space. I think that is the only way for it to run along with the FGC.
Please register if you have not already so I know what kind of space I need to partition for Smash.
