NC Thread LXVII (67) - RIP MaximumBurst

I can speak for my BFP crew here in Greensboro by saying we would be down to support anyway we can.
Just keep networking so you don’t have any schedule conflicts and can get out of town eyes on your scene. Jump in and give it a whirl. Maybe some undercover players will reveal themselves after they see a consistent event.

Come on out to The PourHouse Tuesday.

I completely see what your saying. MA is no bigger than 11k people. Tiny, old, and crusty. The goal here is just to see what would come out of the local community by hopefully drawing out the surrounding communities. And we wont know unless we give it a shot.
In side note, the place that opened up not too long ago in MA is not affiliated with the mall in any way. (thank god… your 100percent about our mall. Sad and depressing) This place is actually a shop that has its usually card game scene mixed in with video games. But i still think its worth a shot.

Just that initial feedback means a lot man. Ill jump in the loop and find out whats going on, maybe check some dates, and go from there. Thanks again.

In a completely transparent and self-serving effort to get more people to play VF at WNB, Trykt and I are placing bounties on our heads. The first player who can beat either of us in a FT5 at WNB will win $20. For Trykt, this is a one-time deal. For me, this is a standing offer! Every week, the first player who can best me will receive this prize. I will continue this offer until it becomes a strain on my finances (which I would love btw.) Do note that these are separate bounties; Feel free to challenge both of us and potentially walk home with $40!

From Trykt’s tierlessheroes facebook message:
Quote:
Standard tourney rules will apply, Dural is banned and loser can change stage or character. If you don’t beat us you can challenge us again next week!

Note that this isn’t a boast, neither of us believe we’re great players yet. We know we’re good enough that only serious players need apply (even if you’re not, feel free to try your luck) and we will defend our 20 bucks as hard as we can! We just love the game and want to offer some incentive to other people to learn it and come play with us. If you’re interested in VF at all please come out and play, our ultimate goal is to have enough regulars to start running brackets at WNBs! Any questions about this, please just ask.

Are you on FB? If so what’s your name so I can add you to our group, that’s usually where the Gboro scene sets things up. I’m trying to get some people to come over tonight around 8 hopefully. Hit me up (908) 494-7208

Yeah im tuned in. Jay Illestrate is the name on FB

Soooooooo ummmmmmmmm…got promoted with the job and…

WE’RE MOVING BACK TO THE TRIAD!!!

Closer to Durham, closer to Lucky’s…(who knows), closer to Charlotte, closer to Fayetteville, about the same to Raleigh but no more boring ass drives on the way home.

Prepare for the onslaught, Triad-area childrens!

I’ve spoken with Lucky about TTT2, he said he’s very excited about it coming out next month. hint hint

Back to the boro?

Hopefully you didn’t get the wrong idea from me. I wasn’t trying to discourage you from running this thing. I hope you do and I hope it’s a success. I just wanted to let you know how things could be in a smaller town and what you may have to do to make it a successful weekly, monthly, or whatever it is. There are plenty of successful tournaments that aren’t being run in big cities so it’s definitely not a rarity or anything like that.

And a Lucky’s revival? Lucky’s was the very first tournament I attended back in 2010. I’d love to see it come back.

this is the single greatest post in like the past 2 years
