Which makes me wonder how the scene is supposed to grow. Ehhh oh well…
I feel like I’ve said this plenty of times. NC is very fairweather. One week its this game the next week its that game. Just looking at tournament footage (excluding KoF) I dont see NC trying to take it to the next level, just a lot of piggybacking off what the big names are setting the precedent for. Between that and the real disconnect in the various regions theres not going to be a real evolution in this state until some people really stick their necks out, and at this point I cant blame anyone for not really wanting to. Sure there are a shitload of players here but that means nothing with ATL considers NC free money.
I have to offer to meet up with someone (read: ANYONE) in NC at least once a week so I mean…
I just bought this $170 stick for a system that I own no fighting games on just to play the majority of the community whos apparently on 360. I feel like I’m practically begging at this point and that feels very lame. My day off and I’m bouncing between two facebook groups, SRK and 8WR. Salt all in my wounds.
They kicked people out who weren’t from the triad area or who never showed up to a gathering or event which includes tournaments outside of Greensboro. Their group along with the TH Raleigh scene has grown the most the past year.
Moyospeed, what you do is wait for one of them to post the ad for the Mindgames Tuesday tournies in Greensboro in this thread, show up and make friends. If transportation is a problem, then you’re SOL.
So by the looks of it just about everything around here is dying 
but we are still here…we have been running Wednesday Night Brawls for 25 weeks now and we are gonna keep going. It happens every Wednesday night unless there is a holiday or our venue is not available due to a bigger event being held. We also have a fan page and a discussion group where we post our upcoming events as well as anything fighting game related. I do think that NC fighters is dead 
no one really posts there.
We are Tierless Heroes: Event Planning & Tournament Organizing…and we run Wednesday Night Brawls Weekly Tournaments and TNT X WNB (in collaboration with the [BFP] TOs who run Tuesday Night Throwdown Biweekly Tournaments in Greensboro) and we are working on bringing more events in the near future. Info bout our as well as their events can be found on the facebook groups and fan pages.
There is also a group where players talk about sessions and such…Jon already mentioned it and well its his duh LOL the RDU Illuminati Gatherings.

Plus people certain people in the group were acting like children so it made sense to clean the group up a bit. The scene has definitely been growing though. Just come to the biweeklies and once I get another apartment I’ll start having sessions in Gboro regularly again. Things only started to slow down a bit here in the last month or so. Unfortunately the Winston area is pretty dead. Also, we didn’t kick out people who didn’t post enough, it was people who either didn’t ever show up to anything or ever post at all. Is there really a point to keeping people in the group when that is the circumstance? Its not like it was done without notice, multiples notices in fact. Either way, be on the lookout for weekly sessions in the Greensboro area in August.
I’m starting the move to Raleigh this weekend. I would like to stop by but most likely I will be too busy.

It’s a slippery slope man, I was thinking the same thing then I started reading about some cords having lag etc etc…I just went ahead and got a 360 stick.
