I’m really, really hating Marvel Vs Capcom 3 right now.
Why is that if I may ask?
EDIT:Doing ROM combo is simple as fuck in this game(MvC3) compared to ROM in MvC2. I don’t know why people are complaining so much.
I just think it feels all-around terrible. Stupid things that make no sense (like Felicia being so dang immobile), push blocking being far worse than in MvC2 and TvC, X-factor, beams, shortcuts, and either my execution is bad or this game is relatively unresponsive. It also feels more random and full of guesses than any other game I’ve played. Coming from MvC2 and TvC, this game disappoints me.
I’ve heard people have had the same dislike as I’m having, but eventually came to like the game after more time. I hope that’ll be the case for me, but as of now, I hate it.
You remember the post where I said Greenville already has a team? Well, that’s still true. We still have a team.
Really, if you guys will remember, there are two players in this state that just don’t lose at gatherings. James has been out and about more than I have as of late, but all that means is you guys still haven’t seen my new team. Not to mention the presence of an old friend of ours. You’re not ready.
I don’t normally condone random people being “so sure” they’ll win something without a few series of tournament results to prove it, but Matt’s right (also he’s not really random people). I haven’t been out and about much lately, but I know what Matt and James have been up to, and I know how well they’ve been doing.
Not saying Greenville vs. NC is 10-0 Greenville or anything like that. Greenville MIGHT lose. Stranger things have happened. Hell, we finally got Osama didn’t we? Just that it’s not likely considering I know 3 big problems that will be traveling en route to Fayetteville on the 21st. And again, that’s not including me. My last appearance did not end nearly as favorably for me as my previous ones, so I’m not counting myself even amongst the contenders until I see something change and stop losing to blatant things that I know are happening but seem to refuse to respect.
I’d sidebet and put money on Greenville if this event was a 3v3 instead of 5v5. And not $5 like my little fun ones before, but like $20. But 5v5 means I’m on it, so I can’t really sidebet on myself, it’s already technically a big regional money match anyway.

This is going to be a lot of fun, strong players from each area playing a game with x factor and marvel craziness for a top spot, like you said anything can happen.
No matter who wins, it will be a lot of fun. Will give everyone some good marvel team experience as well.
You guys act like you’ve been the only ones leveling up. I haven’t played Matt or Roski since FR and I’ve leveled up a shitton since then. I’m sure they have too, so I’m really looking forward to it.
OJ not being on team triangle kinda sucks, as I know Blake and Garrett aren’t going. With that said, triangle probably doesn’t have much of a team now lol. Here’s hoping I can carry us.

But yeah, I’m sure everyone’s gotten better. Everyone. I already factored that in, I didn’t assume Marvel 3 gameplay was locked in a cryo-tube since I haven’t been playing. But as back and forth as a good 10-12 players in this state have been going, I haven’t seen anyone go back and forth with Matt/James yet.
Maybe because no one has been playing them? Just a theory.

I’ll probably try to make it out to Fayetteville on Friday again. Seeing as so many people are going, it’ll be fun. On the subject of teams, Tom’s Akuma overhead beats me like 10-0.
On a bright note I think I can probably get off work the 21st to make the tourney.

There’s only like three AH3 players in the entire triangle area. Four if you count vZakat, but to him Smash gathering>>GG>>>>>>>>>>AH3 so…yeah.
Is Brent going? He doesn’t really play Marvel like that from what I understand and Blake said previously that he wasn’t going. Garrett is getting beat up by RL usually so I’m not sure if he’s going. Forgot Erik was going so ok, that’s another good player for us.

I just talked to Blake he said he’d be there for the tournament. Hopefully garret will as well? I don’t have his # but he’d be great to have as well.
I’d be an aracana player if I had a PS3. I was going to buy one, but then came across Buckyballs Official Site - Home of the World’s Best Selling Desktoy and was compelled to buy 2 sets so hopefully I’ll have a PS3 within the next few weeks.
I’d really like to dual mod my stick if anyone knows anyone that does that kind of work.

I’m from the Raleigh area, but I’m mostly at School, which is in southern NC. But I guess if you count me, we’d have like 4 or 5 Raleigh Arcana players.
Rob, Mike, myself, and occasionally Doug and Brent have been playing at State only because it was the most convenient for Rob and myself to travel there. To my knowledge Rob visits family in Raleigh whenever he’s on break, but goes to school out in Fayetteville.
As far as where else do have AH3 players? Boone has like 2 or 3, Greensboro has Sam, and I guess Matt still plays from what Brent told me.
Regardless, I wouldn’t be quick to call ANY of the major areas in NC “fuckin arcana area” because that shit’s just sad.
fucked up part is NC AH3 is actually better than what I’ll be dealing with back in Ohio. Three AH3 players throughout the entire state and they’re all 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 hours away from me. gdlk
