NC Thread LVI - Sessions / Tournaments in the First Post

I actually think he was initially referring to the setup in Fayetteville that was off to the side. It was a small tv that was all by itself and people were playing “other” games. “Other” referring to anything other than the more popular MvC3 and SSF4. Correct me if I’m wrong.

Whaaaaaaat!!! Haha, that TV is the same size as the one SSFIV was on, and was hooked up SVIDEO(this is serious) and looked better, even though both are Sony Trinitrons…and trust me Trinitrons are not poverty setups you kiddies with your HDTVs lol. Maybe I should use a broken TV as the stand instead…what do you guys know about that? lol

I’m not quite sure if I’m going to have people over Friday or not this week, had a session last night with 5 people and I’m not quite sure if they’ll be able to make it back for Friday night, but I’m hopeful. Also, for future sessions is anyone opposed to running some mini tournaments in MvC3 and possibly SSF4/MK9/AH3. Nothing more than 5 dollars just something to get people back into a tourney feel since it looks like the NC tourneys have dried out quite a bit until we’ve gotten this last shot of energy.

If you do have people over send me a PM, I’d love to get some matches in with the new team.

Poverty games usually refers to doujin or indie games. 3S and Alpha are both SF games, made by Capcom, which makes them decidedly non-poverty. Ditto for GG. The popularity of said games is irrelevant to the definition of poverty, AFAIK.
