I’m gonna be so happy when finals are over. Last test on the 9th and I’ll be free for the summer.
Just lettin people know…since we’re not doing a gathering at State on sat (tournament apparently and I have a prior engagement), I’m going to say that last sat might have been the last gathering for us at State. We have to move out week after next and I’ll be leaving the country for a month. Me and Nov will both be graduating as well. It’s not set in stone yet but just in case, it’s been fun hosting for the past few years there and I’m going to miss it. But luckily, there are people already taking up the slack like Jon and sea of cheese. Hopefully more will pop up.
So you’re telling me that you had your last session on my birthday where I couldn’t go? Well that’s a shitty birthday present.

I agree, leave the gameplay and art the same…it’s classic. Just add modes,options,remix sound track,and at the very least… Even though I know it is impossible, new characters. I would love to see bison or maki 3s style. I’m sure it will be better than hd remix was,due to the fact that udon is not involved. Needless to say I’m looking forward to this game.
So I finally got MvC3 over Easter weekend. I’m currently running a team of MODOK/Morrigan/Phoenix or MODOK/Morrigan/Sentinel. Any general tips I should know?
I would say stick to your frc and pressure game.ky is a tricky character to master.others have a much larger pay out. Force your opponent to make rash decisions,then punish with set ups,and use of air grabs and resets.we can practice some stuff if your in town again.oh…by the way that’s my stfaa disc.
Thanks for all the sessions. Where are you heading to in that month? Also it was a good last gathering since it involved Tekken 6, AH3 and SSF4, my top three favorite games lol.
What? There be Tekken Players in NC State?? Would have been awesome to have attended that if I knew about it sooner lol. I’m a Tekken player myself and would love to get some sessions in for practice, since the Tourneys are almost here.
Well damn, it’s been fun all these years. State gatherings have definitely been the best we’ve had around here so it’s gonna be hard to top that venue. Your ass better come out after school is over though!

MOST LIKELY these “new” people that no one has ever heard of aren’t going to beat the good established players in the scene but why so much arguing?
Due’s first post couldn’t have been better. Not only is it a new addition to the community BUT they have a tournament set up THIS WEEKEND with a promo vid for it and a good amount of players that will be attending - no entry fee and a cash prize.

Yes the play in the promo vid was weak, so go to the tourney and win and make friends and our scene gets bigger. People don’t stay bad, why can’t everyone learn from eachother?
I myself am very new, just started coming to sessions a little over a month ago but I’m able to win a decent amount of matches because of how much I’ve learned so far from playing with everyone. These guys could do the same thing.
They are running bi weekly tournaments with prizes in raleigh - that’s awsome!!! I’m very excited to meet everyone and play saturday.

Apparently we’re starting at 5 to accommodate James. So if you come early that will be me, you, Tom, James and David all there early waiting for everyone else to show up.
There needs to be a new Saturday venue in the triangle area for sessions now. Also Julian is graduating so there are no more Charlotte sessions either, hopefully priest can pick up over there.
TBH I completely forgot what the arguing was even about so I just stopped posting.

Alright I’ll switch you over to Saturday’s, If you host next week I’ll be there. We seriously need some more sessions going around, we just lost 2 well established venues in a day.
Honestly I’d just put my day as “Varies”. I don’t really plan on doing it all the time on the same days, just whatever is convenient for me to host really and whatever gets more response out of other players. I’d like to switch between week day and weekend gatherings for different people to come out.
