Problem is, if you walk away from everything, you forgot how to play. I need to get my ass playing something again.
Arcana Heart in two weeks sounds like a good start.

If you get into Arcana I can teach you some things if your trying to learn. It’s my number one game at the moment secondary being SSF4. Heard the netcode is trash but we could play online too, of course it might not be so bad within the state i’d hope. I’d be ok if AH3 doesn’t have a lot of supporters but I don’t want NC to turn into MVC3 OR SSF4 PICK ONE because that would be awful.

Is online Marvel on 360 really actually playable?

1. Don’t be fooled, Sony sucked some dick to get there console exclusive

2. the 360 Online experience is actually pleasant. It’s VERY rare that the lag is noticeable/annoying. Sometimes when it comes to time allowed for action after a hard knockdown…but I’m never like “holy shit, I hit H then S and only S came out” like I was last night with the PS3.

3. Bitching makes the world go round. I’m lovely in person…isn’t that what internet personas are for…to bitch? lol

And the bitching comment wasn’t directed at just you. I just come in here and read posts and it’s like 90% people whining and 10% people being like “pshhh, whiners, whatevs, play the game”. Course, I fall into that category but still, can’t you guys just play the games and be happy? Marvel is pretty balanced right now and a breath of fresh air. So currently, the dick showing contest is between Frank the Tank and Orochi_Negro. Frank the Tank is the returning champion from the Div-1 Guilty Gear conference while Orochi_Negro represents the Div-1 Tekken conference. Both are veterans in dick showing and we expect both to make the playoffs this year. Also, for his accomplishments for the 2003 year, TitaniumBeast (retired in 2008) will be inducted into the Dick Showing Contest Hall of Fame. This will be hosted by former All-Star Return of Shiki. Presenting the award will be guests xSAMURAIx, Ceron and purifyweirdsoul.

But I do want the game to be good, just to see people’s eyes bulge if it gets more entries at a tournament than insert preferred minor game here

I actually really enjoy marvel. It’s simple but has depth. It allows someone who may be skillful at games/fighters but doesn’t have as much time to put in to be able to compete on a fun level. I’m not going to national tourney’s or anything, but I’ll at least have fun playing the local competition…not just the online nubs.

Only problem with it as a tournament game is that it might have to be single match instead of 2/3 as the videos they have up right now have 1 on 1 matches taking 5-6 minutes on average.

That’s what I plan on doing. Just waiting for the PSN port, and hoping I can pick up the game semi-quickly, though my skills feel so eroded right now.

Reachin out to the new school of Fayetteville

Haven’t really posted or been active on the scene as of late well for a long time really, but I’m trying to get an idea of who all in Fayetteville plays MvC3. Is there a particular place everyone plays? I recently visited this Kinetech place (Cross Creek Mall) and wonder if anyone actually goes there to play? Plus for the vets out there, you guys still doing gatherings? I may have to ask to show up, if welcomed.

All this reaction regarding Sent has made for some good read. I don’t have any real passionate opinions on it, I’ve played against Chadwick’s Sent and he’s playing him very smart and practical to the point of annoyance, but the character can be dealt with. Did he need the life nerf? Probably not. Is that good for non-Sent players? Probably so. Can a good Sent player still kill you? Yes. Maybe the real whining is coming from the character designers, they want the other characters to be loved. Maybe they’ll release a new version Sentinel for DLC so you have to pay for a character twice:nono: haha I keed.

Last and not least, who’s been wreckin’ shop in Fayetteville and Who’s the Boss of NC in MvC3…This thread is about match making, so Tom and I want to know who to dethrone!! So we can (Lao’s Term) “DOJO BUST!” :karate:

I’d play Arcana if anybody fucking played it. I think it’s by far the best fighting game on next gen systems. Just gonna have to wait for the US release I suppose.
