On a more serious note though, East told me there’s a session in Greensboro today hosted by conrizzle (?). Is that still on? If so, what time? I’m trying to find somebody who will ride me up there atm as well.
Just want to clarify a couple of things:

The group has about 20+ members now consisting of half of the people from GSO and others from the surrounding areas (Charlotte, Raleigh, etc)
The group was made for us to keep up with each other locally as far as sessions/carpool to tournys/online sessions are concerned. Since we all check our facebook like 2843785 times a day, we thought it would be better if make a group up there to post all information.
As far as SRK goes, I primarily use it to keep up with upcoming tournament dates/nearby sessions. I am somewhat of a lurker here, and I do apologize for not filling everyone in on the GSO sessions that happen. We do have members on in the GSO facebook group who are also on SRK as well, but the majority of them are not on facebook. Other than myself, Jordyn and Sneak hold sessions here as well.
We pretty much have been going to most of the recent tournys like EZ, ReSe, and Gamefrog. A good number of people probably know us from there, but then again, a lot of you probably have no idea who we are.
With that being said: yes, Greensboro still has a gaming scene. I’ll personally start doing a better job promoting our gatherings/sessions locally as well as here on SRK for those who would like to attend. We do go to the Charlotte sessions sometimes, and will eventually attend some of the Raleigh/Cary sessions held by Jon and others.

You guys complaining about elitism and people being dicks and thinking they’re better than they are and etc etc… people are just posting, I really don’t think any (or atleast most) are actually like that. Relax a bit. Especially in Trykt’s case, I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone be a dick to you man. Maybe seeing other people be dicks to other people urks you too?
On another note, does EZ still go down on Fridays? I might start making it down more.

It does, when it’s not funny or warranted, and that’s basically what we’re talking about here. Not people shooting their mouths off and getting told, not friendly teasing/trash talk, and not even boasting about tourney results. All that stuff exists in these threads (and at tourneys/offline events) and that’s fine. I’m just saying I post/talk about games (as I’m sure we all do) in a lot of other places on the internet besides this forum and the NC threads, but the environment here is very different from all my other haunts. To everyone saying they don’t see a problem I ask that you notice the people that have been kind enough to show their agreement with my point of view in the thread so far and consider that.

Ay Yo!! Real GG Last night at EZ. Wasd mostly chillin playin BBCS2 knockin the dust off.lol It’s a over all very fun game and system, but very unbalanced and zany. I would say its…fun.(@o@). There are a number of fundamentaly wrong things with the system of the desgin but then again perhaps thats part of the appeal of the series. AKSW stated that BB was desgined to be more fun than Balance, so as a alternative I think it’s cool. Missed out on gettin in some AH3 action this time.(-_-").Played a few matches of AE, Rog is back to his old tricks again some how.

I’m going to put this up a little earlier than I usually do but since I get off at 7 pm Tuesday and don’t have to be back to work until Friday at 3 pm, I’m more than willing to host a session Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday night. Trying to get a feel for what day would be best for everyone so let me know.

I wasn’t asking about that I was trying to see if I could possible car-pool with someone in a few weeks to the weekly RESE sessions soon. I’ve come out to the EZ twice, my only problem with going right now is the fact that I have internship Wednesday and Thursday and then class on Friday in Charlotte. So I don’t get back till late (11pm or later) plus i leave my girl those three days with two kids so its a bit much to ask for the extra time just to come chill. I only got like 3 weeks left of class so I’ll be out there more often soon.
I was actually trying to go the last EZ tournament, then the MLG and maybe the RESE if I didn’t do well at MLG. But my car broke down that Thursday before the EZ tournament (back wheel went slanted into the car). So I was stuck in Charlotte for the weekend plus it drained all the money I had saved up for the tournaments and plus some to get the car fixed. ($640 :(). I will be making the next one though even if i got to pull out a bike and ride cross country, been training hard for some tournaments.
Again, if anyone else lives in Fayetteville let me know so we can possible set up some carpools!
well after a few beers and a few hours of 3rd, can’t complain much. however, it has crashed several times on me after a match requiring a full ps3 restart to play again. sometimes i’ve won, and sometimes i’ve lost, so can’t be sure what’s happening. other than that pretty fun. cool to rock some oro after so long.
