Much appreciated. Unrelated: I’m rather drunk right now. Please ask me 3rd strike questions.
Fine I’ll ask my own questions…
HEY JIMBO THIRD STRIKE IS NOT MY CUP OF CEREAL. Why do you play it?
Because you’re stupid and I’m an elitist. Shutup and block low.
Heee… Hey JiBz why do you continue to play Hugo?! Are you some kind of attention whore!?
No. If I played Ken and stated “Yeah the tiers aren’t that bad”, I’d look like a douche rocket. Hugo is very fun to play. Also, he’s number one. This is true cause he says so himself.
I was working out on the eliptical this morning and I realized MAN… 3rd strike sucks!!! Thoughts?
… Who really works out on the eliptical anyways? Riddle me that.
Mid-level 3rd strike is dominated by chun/yun/ken, how do I conquer these obstacles?
Ask me questions. But first think of a solution for yourself. Most importantly, be observant. You have to define your obstacles first before you can solve them. Know the ranges, how to whiff punish, what to whiff punish with, how to parry…Zzz I’m tired…
Jibbo: I’m new to 3s, how do I get out of the mindset to want to straight parry everything as a defensive option rather than just block or at least attempt to red parry punish? Or any other 3s players opinions as well. also pretty intoxicated, flame on
Like a doctor, take your time to examine your opponent. Sure you could do this aggressively through parrying and asserting your zoning normals, but if you block more in your earlier stages of game play you will learn much more because you gain further opportunity for observations. When you become familiar with those option which you gained from observing, then you can parry with certainty and punish to the maximum potential. So quite literally, Watch and Learn.
Eventually, it’s like peeing with your pants all the way down. Feels good man.
Hey! What are some good ways to set up Yang’s command grab in 3s? I’ve tried tick throwing with neutral short. Sometimes after i get a knockdown I teleport behind them and do his uoh then command grab. I’ve also whiffed dive kick into in the corner but some people just blow me up for trying that.
Schrödinger Chicken:
Before you see what is under those pants, you can’t confirm the wearer is A) a cross dresser young male,B) an female with enlarged OO, C) or a girl.
all these is based on pants must all the way down, if not, it can never be theoretically confirm.
Man that made my day. (even if I was free as fuck)
The crowd was totally edited too… there was only like half a room full of people and no one really cared. Mostly Art yelling FUCKING CR.MK UNDER THE BURN KICKS.
Video made me realize… If I had beaten Teyah after our double KO in the final amtch, I woulda been able to fight Kayo again. FUCKING FUCK
I’ll add the “real talk” answer to Jibbo’s input here; You’ll learn eventually because if you try to parry EVERYTHING, you’re going to get punched in the face A LOT. The game punishes this sort of thing in many ways, the most pronounced of which is that you eat 25% more damage when you’re crouching (because you tried to down parry a low short or some shit). Blocking is so risk free compared to parrying, to the point that there’s no real reason not to do it.
So would you say to basically only worry about parrying if you happen to be in mid air, low health and chip will kill you, or if its a sure parry such as a fireball from across the screen or perhaps red parrying into combo? Otherwise just block it and stick to your game strat.
