Like I said man, it didn’t feel like a tournament without a grand finals and I was salty you took me out in the round robin, even though I won the whole thing it still felt like an L, so I wanted a chance to run it back, and you to get a shot at the money since I felt more like you won it than I did. Weird reasoning or whatever but it felt right to me. I’ve got some better in close stuff with Kenshi now and I worked on Rain and Noob a bit, so I’d like to mess with those 3 next time you’re over for a gathering. My Kenshi should be quite a bit better though.
I’m down to go to charlotte sometime. There’s no chance in hell we’ll ever get enough ranbat points but it’ll be fun going and showing them how trivial it all is anyway =D
As far as where our heavy hitters are, times change man. DP was up there, and Ace, although no one has any idea what the hell he’s doing, won it without getting reset or anything. We took out ATL… so we’re definitely on a decent level… sort of. I played like shit due to 1 hour of sleep (god damn vampire schedule) but 3rd’s not bad for literally only playing at tournaments. I’d like to see Roski come back just for the competition, even if he’s a dick, but otherwise, who are we missing?
I was talking about the security Guard that works at the Market Fair Mall.(-_-"). AE seems to be loosing steam with the announcement of 2012ver I guess. I know I’m far from a heavy hitter in that game, but I pretty much just play casually until I feel exited about the title again. I feel almost as if I should have been playing noncapcom games more the last couple of years.Feel kinda cheated by Capcom’s business desgins as of late,so Im goin to chill off in the cut, and see what happens next. Mean while BBCS2, and AH3, and all the other delicious true 2D games will be indulged to the max,lol. But thats just me.
It was fun watching the AE stream, but there was a background guy shouting off lots of misinformation. Something about DP FADC being a free grab at all times (only Ultra/Super, maybe SPD for certain characters but not all) and asking why James picked Ken against Sagat, and Adon beat Ken for free and shit. It was some third person over the shoulder that was just wrong, constantly. Leave the commentating to the people with the mics, and don’t try to "shed some light’ if you clearly don’t know.
I mean, there’s no excuse for the dropoff in my AE play since last EZ, but I have a really hard time staying motivated to practice it seriously now. The more time I put into CS2, the less I want to play 4. I haven’t practiced Yun since the nerfs were announced, so I probably shouldn’t have played him, but really, all that means is that I probably shouldn’t have played the game lol.
I know what you mean. Not laughing at the situation or anything since I’ve had something similar happen to me, but if I did see the bastard that broke into his car I would have done something just off of principle alone. I’ve ran into DP a couple of times and he seems like a pretty cool guy, so it really sucks that it happened to him. I just hate it when stuff like this happens to the nice people you run into in life.
You sure you want to lose that much? Since it would be a wager you would have to in turn give up everything you own upon defeat.
I like your wager list, especially for Gears 3. And no, I’m not joking. There’s money involved.
EDIT: But all jokes aside I do walk around the parking lot when I go to EZ. I’ll either take a break and hang outside a bit or walk to get something to eat and back. I’ve seen some sketchy looking people while out there.
If you’d like to put a sidebet with me on sofa i’m more then down for it. I’ve never seen him play, and he’s never seen me play a shooter so that’s the biggest “bet” out of all of them.
As far as heavy hitters go man I dunno I feel people are getting disinterested in AE these days because of 2012 edition and other games.
On the topic of T6 so, unless you ran it up front on your own system we can narrow it down to the people who had consoles in the back, I know Matt had a system in the back BUT we ran it for AH3 and BB exclusively since I had asked him if we could use for AH3 in the first place.
Then we had Robs system which actually did run T6 (prob his own copy) because it was run on my CRT. We also had Nameda’s system which was on the far far right CRT in the back but I know that the players switched over to Robs system way later in the tournament because the game was not installed in it.
Then we had one final system that it may or may not have been in because I know Lawrence and some others were playing casuals on it which was on an LCD right next to my CRT on the left.

And finally as far as brackets man yea I agree it was kind of hard running BB and AH3 near the end because we just had all these unrelated people completely crowding the computer you had to push through like you were on a full train of people or something. The only suggestion I can possibly make to fix this is if we have an alternate computer that only has the bracket and nothing else on it, nothing people can change that they can go to which is away from the comps the organizers are using.
DP- look into a credit freeze if you suspect identity theft- I don’t know if you’d have to do it in NC or VA, depends which state you have residency in. May want to check in with base legal on that, but it should be as free as me in AH.
As for the dropping games left and right such as AE, I think that’s natural when a bunch of highly anticipated games are coming out, I think people are showing what they really like. I plan to start showing up to stuff again once KOF is out.
If you guys are serious then I will put all the money matches on the stream, well do them first. Hell I was wanting to get in on it too but you guys already beat me to it, lol.
yeah I agree with Smurvis with the AE commentary being ass and people not knowing what they were talking about on the mic. we need people that know wake up options, option selects, character specifics, matchups and more on the mic. honestly, I felt like some people were on the mic just because they wanted to be on the mic and talk, not because they really knew the game.
