It was more to mess with Will. I actually owned and enjoyed both, I just always get new nintendo systems first. That and I like to talk huge levels of unnecessary unsubstantiated shit.
The console stuff really is just people trying to get their choice system put as the standard, but IMO whatever the tournament standard is, that is what we should play on until that changes. My converter broke already so I personally cannot play on anything except PS3 atm but normally I don’t care.
After working in the game industry for a bit though, the XBOX definitely is slightly better in terms of hardware, unless games are specifically designed FOR the PS3. If I remember correctly, The PS3 has a stronger GPU but the XBOX has slightly better video. All I know is bulletstorm ran a hell of a lot better on 360 than PS3.
But, the true master race is PC. JUST SAYING.
Oh yeah, slowdown, got side tracked. Definitely have seen it with Zero’s clone super. Didn’t seem to affect much though.

In terms of hardware: the 360 has slightly better single thread processing power. However, the PS3 has more cores and therefore should perform better for multithreaded graphics processing. However, when games are written to be cross-platform, companies often get lazy and write code for the lowest common denominator - Graphics which can run with the PS3’s processing power split into a number of threads the 360 can handle.
And yeah, PC is the technically superior platform… except in cases where hardware standardization is key (e.g. for arcade games).
