Nash gives me hope they will find a middle ground for some of the other characters they nerfed, he seems so be a good compromise of his beta one version and his boring as hell version, still i hope they fix his v trigger back to how it was.
You know after seeing all these characters revealed so far, Nash’s V-trigger seems really underwhelming. They should just make it a special move and give me him something else. Of course, as said before I havent actually played the game so dont know for sure. Maybe it will prove to be uber powerful in the longrun?
One of my friends was at the Capcom Sale Event, and according to him they nerfed the juggle points for HK SS. A lot of other characters got nerfed as well.

Hmm…so is still possible to get HK SS, EX SS in the corner? I could see why they nerfed that since that was big damage for Nash for 1 bar and the air reset with f+LK was a really good.
The Karin nerf seems a bit unwarranted and I’m wondering if they were scared of her cr.Strong, cr.Forward link confirm into a special since she could do the Palm launcher into juggles. Cammy already has something similar in phase 2 with cr.Strong, cr.Strong xx Spiral Arrow and her v-skill and cr.strong were +1 on block allowing for some heavy fishing. Even her cr.Forward has similar range to Karin’s and she can still confirm into arrow. I guess it seemed a bit too good given characters, such as Nash having good ranged cr.Forward’s that were not special cancel-able while Ryu/Ken could but the range on theirs are terrible. I still don’t like removing options from characters though.
I can definitely understand why they didn’t allow R.Mika to get midscreen wall bounces from her s.Strong, f+Strong. Her damage output in general was pretty absurd and most characters couldn’t get that level of damage midscreen without spending V-Trigger and EX meter.
It makes sense in the grand scheme of things because I definitely would be asking for Nash’s low forward to be special cancelable. It’s also a bit of a slap to Ryu and Ken with their low forward being so ass when traditionally it wasn’t.
Sorry if this has been asked before but, can Nash still juggle opponents with Tragedy assault or Sonic Scythe after hitting them airborne with a Sonic Boom? Is it still possible to V-Trigger after their EX variants to continue the juggle for extra damage?
Given how Dhalsim may be floating all the time I would like to find ways to dish out some good damage to airborne opponents because antiairing them with crMP like 15 times to win is not something I look forward to.
Don’t know about the crumple being easier. The recovery of Backfist is so bad, it’s hard to get anything without using V-Trigger or being in the corner.
Watched that Korean SFV exhibition with infiltration and he’s confirmed that Nash can’t do RH SS, EX SS in the corner. He tried and EX SS whiffed so they probably either removed the juggle property from RH SS or RH SS doesn’t launch as high.
You could but you had to recognize the CC right away and then dash if you wanted a cr.Fierce starter. Granted his max damage combo off of CC f+Fierce in phase 1 was f+short, s.Strong etc…
Right now the best you can do after CC f+Fierce is either dash RH/EX Sonic Scythe, Tragedy Assault, or Super. You can do a bunch of V-Trigger stuff as well.
So he can juggle SS into EXSS anymore? that is so stupid tbh, I thought capcom weren’t going to nerf characters as much this time around lol…I hate this crybaby generation tbh, same with why sf4 sucked dick characters felt so linear compared to other games
Yeah I was messing around with some of his stuff yesterday and his vtrigger stuff is great a lot of fun but will most likely be patched out soon xD
Capcom HQ had a newer build of the game and I heard from the people who went say that he couldn’t Bazooka Knee after RH SS in the corner. To be fair they took out Karin and R.Mika’s reset game as well so it’s only fair they removed Nash’s Bazooka Knee resets. Also, RH SS, EX SS did a ton of damage in the corner so I can see why they took it out. I missed the options of getting resets or damage in the corner though but I can see why they took it out. I just hope Bazooka Knee is still -1 on block because that’s a really important buff.
It wasn’t a great reset tbh. It was good for some extra, meterless damage but I’m pretty sure you ended up evens post-bazooka, so there wasn’t much there in terms of a mixup. The opponent would just have to press jab a and the worst thing to happen would be a trade with Nash’s own jab.
Tbh, and I know it’s still pre-release, but HK SS into EX SS in the corner did silly damage, probably a bit too much. He can still get decent damage from EX Sonic Boom into LP MP xx SS, and you maintain frame advantage for a mixup.
