Nash General Thread: Charlie (Nash) finally revealed!

Almost forgot to mention that I discovered Nash has a SECOND CRUSH COUNTER.
During my play at Six Flags today I was playing a BIrdie who kept using his F.Hp move. The move has armor. So I threw out Nash’s three kick target combo, the st.mk ate the armor then the st.hk caused the crush counter. It caused him to be airborne tho so I just finished out the target with the f.mk.

Think this might come in handy if we get more characters who have armor, might even be useful in blowing up parry who knows.

Thats very interesting since I personally fucking hate moves with armor and even if i haven’t played the game, birdie’s one already annoyed me just by looking at videos

i love people who throw out charlie’s super thinking it’s got invincibility like breathless lol.

Yeah, in future I’ll play a more ground based game but I was just trying to hang in there for my life and I wanted to kill his charge and limit his options as much as I could.

I was actually more bothered by my lack of anti airs… I think the more I play the more comfortable I’ll be with his normals and spacing. I’ll usually throw some booms to try and get that going but I didn’t want Bison to get his V-trigger which lead to me doing no real ground game at all.

Really enjoying playing with Charlie though.

his Vskill is pretty annoying since it returns back 2 hits

it seems kinda laggy tho so I wanna try doing tragedy assault or moonsault after to jump over and punish

Bison can just absorb it for super meter and swipe you out of the air with cr.HP of he thinks you’re trying to get tricksy

It might have projectile invincibility as I’ve seen LI Joe use it at e3 to counter projectiles and it does work as an AA at the peak of the opponents jump.

I got jabbed out of it like 2 different times. It is still projectile invincible in the beta though. Been blowing up Ryu denjins with it. Also if a Ryu does a raw CA and during the start up animation you buffer Nash’s CA he’ll stuff out Ryu before the fireball even leaves his hands.

I think its SUPPOSED to have invincibility but it loses to normals alot. When I played at Evo and had both my V-Trigger startup AND my CA startup beaten out by a normal and I spoke to Combofiend about it afterwards, he was looking like that wasn’t supposed to happen. Maybe they still gotta tweak it.

can also follow up with hk SS or mk SS xx super for pain, seems to be a free juggle state off airborne boom hit.

Does overhead lead to a combo on counterhit?

Edit: Nvmd looked at the frame data, its only +1 on counterhit

OMG that’s exactly how I like my projectiles. Really hope Nash doesn’t end low tier because I really want to play him.
