Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2 . The next greatest anime fighting game. Online!

Someone should change the title to “greatest looking”.

General consensus is the game looks gorgeous, but will most likely play like ass in competitive terms.

I’ll love the graphics of this game all day and will say every anime fighter that isn’t 2D should follow it’s graphic style if they are to go the 3D route. But that’s about it.

If that was true, there would only be a story mode (which would result in only being a rental)

Yes the versus won’t end up being very balanced, but that hasn’t stopped games like Marvel vs Capcom 2 from being played competitively, on casual and professional levels.

This will be not only fun but also highly competitive online! Just wait and see!

Shitstorm in 5…4…3…2…

“insert whatever is more painful than a facepalm here”

:annoy:

-sigh- @ affinity

smh.

just knock it off affinity, seriously. Saying a game would be competitive just coz it has online is flat out retarded, the game wasnt meant to be played on a competitive level and it probably wont be, hell the game doesnt even have a training mode… what kind of fighting game doesnt have a training mode? the silly just-for-lulz ones.

and for the last time STOP using MvC2 as an example because we all know you dont know SHIT about that game, the difference in depth between the two games is light-years apart.

I think the game looks and plays amazing. Plus it has a lot of good characters in it this time around. I’m going to play it.

Oh snap.

Consider yourself targeted. It’s going to be fun slapping Neji around. :badboy:

No training mode makes me =_=;

No you knock it off. You lack the wisdom to understand the perspective of others and the flaws of your own judgement on this game’s competitive side.

No, the online boosts the competitive community for many players, but that isn’t the only reason it will be competitive.

Any game with versus play can be played competitively. It doesn’t matter how deep or shallow it is. But online is a big factor for this game’s versus mode since not everyone has the luxury to have decent local people to have frequent competitive sessions. So in a sense, UNS2 will be competitive for more people thanks to online linking them to most of the world or at least nationally.

You didn’t develop this game. You don’t have a say how it’s meant to be played or not meant to be played.

The versus and network modes speak for itself. This isn’t shallow like Hungry hungry hippos, and even that game is competitive in nature.

You are ignoring the hundreds of players that will be playing this at a competitive level. But go ahead and remain ignorant due to your closed-minded standards for fighting game depth.

Your definition of “competitive level” sounds too narrow to realize the amount of competition of various skill levels UNS2 will have offline and online.

COM on easiest setting is more than enough for people to train with.
And online, just take turns training with a friend if you want the target to hold still.
Plus people get the best training during real matches, not a defenseless opponent, there are many things practice mode can’t teach.

That doesn’t change the fact how broken MVC2 is despite its “depth”.
Many fighting game veterans prefer better balance and fun over depth.

Ha… Idk who I’m going to play yet, but we shall see. Hopefully online play is smooth.

This reminds me of the whole Smash Brothers community vs. SRK arguments.

This debate has been going for more than 5 months now, and the funny part is that neither side knows what they’re talking about because they never tried playing NUNS1 at a competitive level and see what are it’s flaws.

sigh… I give up, this is just a big waste of time, its like I’m trying to argue with a wall and actually expecting a reasonable answer from it.
I’m just gonna wait till the official release date as affinity will go share her stupidity with whatever other game.

btw, a friend that lives 2 hours away said he got an early copy of the game. I’m going tomorrow to see if its true or not 0.o

I really don’t know what to say here. Well, if you want to continue your one-man crusade for this game then carry on soldier. :karate:

:china: … very well then. Brandon, what system u gettin this on?

Kazuhiro: Forte (who lives in a community that had THE ONLY COMPETITIVE UNS SCENE IN THE COUNTRY) already came in here and posted his thought. Anyone who’s been GENERALLY competitive with Naruto knows this series (UNS) is NOT to be taken seriously, because of the flaws we’ve mentioned a billion of times. I know some of you WANT this game to be great and competitive (hell I wish the actual competitive Naruto games…could be more competitive), but for this series…those two features (in bold) CAN NOT MIX.

It can be “great” as a 1p action game, with a gdlk story and beautiful (the best ever) graphics.

But “competitive”? LMFAO…

But what do I know (not like I’ve been playing GNT3/competitive naruto since 2004), some people play virtual-on onatotio competitively. And that game had a similar shitty camera. UNS should have just used a 45* angle overhead cam, and when they’re full screen away from each other go into split screen. so at all time u get the perspective from both players.

but meh…me complaining about the cam isn’t going to change the cam. and some of you guys telling us: to stop saying this game is “simply just for fun”, isn’t going to change that either.

Blaze: PLEASEEEEEEEEE let us know what u think of the game, with your hands on exp. I have faith, you can give us some “reliable” information.

I’m sure there will be plenty of 10 - 13 year olds online to play when the game is released.

Well, what’s funny is like KOFXIII, after the game is released Affinity will forget it ever existed and start babbling crap about her next flavor of the week.

I wonder if “THOSE FROM THE PAST” will be DLC in Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 2?

I’ll be getting it on xbox360. But as far as being competitive… I think people shouldn’t expect too much cause you may be disappointed or maybe not who knows. Just play it when it comes out and have fun with it. Naruto games aren’t truly made to be made for serious competition like mvc3 ssf4 etc… Once mvc3 comes out a lot of people will go to that and when sf vs tekken and tekken vs sf etc… So I say enjoy a good anime game and make play it however you want, but I say don’t expect too much from it.
