I don’t have too much to say on this discussion as its not like its difficult to understand what’s gon and going on. However there is one thing that does stick out…the correlation between the Kyuubi and the sharrigan. We haven’t been told the exact tie, but in some shape or form the sharrigan is directly tied to the Juubi. IMO the Sage of the 6 Paths was the Juubi host when he had his ‘kids’ and thus the Rinnegan was actually ‘mutated’/‘cursed’ into the sharrigan because of the Juubi ‘presence’…there is prolly more than that, the Sage had the Rinnegan…by birthright at least it seems. Then he was able to absorb the Juubi which already had an eye similar to the Rinnegan and the sharrigan…the sharrigan just looks like the the Juubi eye minus the rinnegan effect. shrug pure speculation, but for such distinct markings to not be directly related doesn’t make sense.
though it doesn’t explain the Byuakugan’s existence…

for some reason the X-copy skill and genjutsu to control Bijuu is also stacked on the rarer eyejutsu

On naruto’s part as evidence: First episode. The kyuubi chakra didn’t get involved, but he STILL turned the forrest into clone wars. All Naruto chakra. He’s no slouch in the power department. Now, having the kyuubi sealed within him most likely helped as well as I can’t see him just straight handling all that power mano Y mano. Look at what happened with Gaara. No seal, just straight dumped it in him like dumping one OS on top of another, and he went nuts. He couldn’t even sleep or it would take over. Killer bee? No telling how old he was when he got his. the three tails apparently didn’t have a host and just chilled out Godzilla style. number six looked like it was completely sealed, but did seem to come out a little when Naruto turned on his. I’m guessing that’s why bubble boy jobbed out so badly when Akatsuki ambushed him. No bijuu back-up.
My theory on the MS controlling the bijuu…
Is it possible that one of the early MS or EMS abilities allowed for control of the bijuu? We’ve seen that different MS, possibly because of the wielder, can have different abilities. (Special K’s rip and warp, Madara’s teleport and phase, all that shit Danzou did, etc.) It might have been possible that one of the earlier uchihas got the EMS and was able to handle the beasts, if only a little. C’mon. if simple Mangekyou could do it and I was leading Akatsuki, I would’ve had Itachi on point and everyone else on guard every mission. The hell with the two at a time thing. We roll deep like trucks stuck in mud fool!

Has it ever been said that someone who has the mangekyou sharingan in both eyes cannot remove one eye, combine it with the other, and therefore gain EMS? That could explain why Madara only seems to show one eye, plus give Sauce a viable plothole to get out of blindness free card. Hell. One eye’s better than none. Hashirama could control Kyuubi because of his Mokuton jutsu (the tree jutsu). Much how Yamato can smack down Kyuubi’s chakra from coming out, Hashirama could apparently do the same thing to the actual Bijuu itself. The manga says he actually had control over all the of the Bijuu at one point, but gave them to other villages as a peace offering.
Glad you like it. Damn. I forgot how much bitch-no-jutsu Sakura laid down in the shippuuden eps. TenTen can’t even compare, which makes her even MORE useless. She could possibly reach woozy winks level? Nah. at least not to me. That’s a higher plane that mere mortals (Anime speaking) Just can’t access.
If you’re hunting down these eps, I say make sure to check out Shikamaru’s revenge. Pure boom-shika in this bitch!! Also, Naruto hands down the Falcon punch on Kakuzu. One of the few clean kills in the whole show.
sighs So I was half-right. There’s a small part of me that’s kind of unhappy with this foreshadowing by Kishi. “We’re both going to die.” I guess it’s because I still want to see the dopey-ass win out and get Hokage. It would be a huge letdown if that never happened, or worse, gets down posthumously like some shitty fanfics do.
I always thought that the Kyuubi chakra was slowly being purified and mixed in with his own chakra, so that, plus the teachers not doing shit for him and hating him, was why he had bad control. I could just be theorizing here though. The seal didn’t actually get fucked up until the Chuunin Exam, when he got smacked around by Orochimaru.
“We’re both gonna die” is some wimpy shit. He should of been like “I’mma kill you son”, but alas, Sasuke must always find a way out, plot armor intact.
Speaking of naruto getting the hokage title, I bet he get’s it for a whole five minutes. Just enough time to outlaw the whole ninja system or something.
Maybe when naruto ends after some years kishi will put it up on ebay. Like to see naruto set in present-ish time where kakashi is final villan!

They prolly only specifically mention controlling Kyuubi with MS, because the other Bijuu’s don’t need to be subdued that way. The Kyuubi has been advertised as by FAR the strongest Bijuu, so maybe it wasn’t able to be taken down (by any ninja) in a normal fasion. The 4th had to use his sealing jutsu. Hashirama had a special Mokuton that could subdue it, and the Unichas MS could control it. But normal, run-of-the-mill fodder nins had no chance. I would expect that MS COULD control all of the Bijuu’s, but if you are gonna try to control one, you might as well go for the best, right?

I enjoy the smaller selection of people who like discussing relevant and interesting topics - just gotta remember to avoid the trolls (and those sad sad few who don’t realize how dumb they really are.)
