I’m a sasori fan, but he wasn’t stealthy until he sneak attacked Sakura. That was some stealthy shit. Now that I think about it; the only people who really act stealthy use Kage Bunshin techs constantly. The art of stealth = not giving away your exact position. Sure people don’t know that Hiruko is not his real body, but he’s still “there.”
Now what I do find funny is he would have blown all of them the fuck up if the one dude didn’t run over to the Aburame. Kankuro was afraid he’d set off traps so chances are Kankuro was going to lift him over there with his puppet strings. That brash dude probably saved their asses from being obliterated by giving them some distance and prep for the blast.

War is about casualties. If Kishi has the balls to kill off main characters, then this will definately be the final, if not best, arc.
He hid in plain sight. NO ONE besides his teammates knew there was someone else in there until way later. That’s a stealth move right there. No one expected the sand nin to actually be a human puppet. And Hiruko was alive one time in his life until he became armor for Sasori.

…why would the toads bind onto him? That’s a handicap Jiraiya needed because he couldn’t focus for sage mode by himself.
Uhm hiding in plain sight doesn’t really work here. People will attack the Sasori puppet. Hiding in plain sight is only applicable if someone doesn’t know you’re the enemy. Everyone knows Hiruko is the enemy. They will attack Hiruko and if the jutsu is powerful enough obliterate the whole thing in one blow including Sasori. It’s less hiding in plain sight and more being in plain sight hoping his
core isn’t exposed. You should look at Hiruko like a MECH; technically there may not be anyone driving the Mech but you’re still going to hit it with everything you have.
What would have been smarter? If he wasn’t actually in Hiruko but made everyone THINK he was in the first place. No risk to himself if he was well hidden. Hiruko took AWAY the need for stealth because the puppet master would be seen.
Kankurous first match? THAT WAS STEALTH. Hell the way he killed SAKON/UKON THAT was Stealth. They never had any idea where Kankurou was.

I believe that the toads also allowed for Jiraiya to continually generate the Sage mode (Nature?) chakra while fighting. Naruto still runs into the problem of having a finite amount of chakra while in sage mode, which is why he has to have kage bunshin batteries.
