Not to get on DBZ but I disagree with the idea that Goku in the allowed time frame could have trained to beat Cell. It took a dramatic impact on Gohan’s psyche through seeing 16’s head get crushed to make him snap. The half breeds are actually stronger than the full blooded saiyans (doesn’t make sense but whatever). Maybe that combined with Gohan’s mental meltdown got him to SSJ2. Goku on the other hand didn’t achieve SSJ2 until he went to the other world and I feel it was also due to limits not imposed upon a true physical form. Goku also states in heaven he doesn’t get exhausted while using SSJ3. So you can imagine how hard and how long one could train in the other world without need for rest or recovery.
Vegeta trained for years nonstop after Goku died and he didn’t reach SSJ2. He needed Babidi’s magic to help push him to that point. However, I feel had Vegeta been dead also, he would’ve attained SSJ2 no problem just like Goku, without the strain an actual body takes on the person versus being just an entity that can continue to improve. He certainly had the genes and the training regimen for it which I feel was actually more intense than Goku’s. Goku just had that natural talent you could say.
Freeza was the only main villain in DBZ that Goku fought against as a SSJ and we knew Goku had the upper hand. Even after Freeza did his 100% power up, and ringing Goku’s bell a few times afterwards, we still notice him running out of gas while Goku stays consistent.

Madara has the Rinnegan now, he took Nagato’s body via his warp ninjutsu. Kabuto comments on his “nice new pair or eyes” and Madara says “They were mine to begin with”.
Madara has a new mask (that looks like Juubi’s eye), and a giant fan (like he had back in the past). He says “I’m going to get the Kyuubi”.
So wait, Madara has the Rinnegan, or Madara has the Rinnegan, as in they are chilling in his eye sockets? If it’s the latter he just got bumped to real villain status.

Pein still is the strongest villain we’ve seen in the manga thus far.
We don’t know how Madara gave Nagato the Rinnegan yet. One theory going around is that Madara gave Nagato (an Uzumaki, thus a Senju) the Sharingan and it evolved into Rinnegan. But nothing’s known for sure. Until then it’s way premature to start trashing folks. In addition, Rinnegan is still greater than Sharingan, regardless of whether a Sharingan user was able to recreate it or not. It’s not shitty by any means, but Rinnegan still trumps it.
I’m still not sold on the trumping - simply because of the methods used by it, I lik Itachi’s use better than Pein’s…but I admit its up for grabs, just the Rinnegan did less with regards to genjutsu…which is stil lgdlk in this manga…
I’m thinking some people still don’t understand what subordinate means. Pein isn’t the strongest villain you’ve seen. Madara is. If you want to talk power displayed, we haven’t seen Pein do anything that trumps Izanagi IMO.
He didn’t get mad and “get” the Rinnegan. He got mad and activated it. It seems as if Madara has had his hand in manipulating Nagato and co for quite some time.
I’m of the mindset that being able to snatch someone’s soul out and then bring them back to life for the lulz is more broken than being able to survive a death blow by warping reality. But both skills are pretty OP, so I guess it’s debatable.
But then again, Pein has all that other shit that Madara simply does not have. Pein’s the strongest villain shown IMO, until we get full power Madara back.
As for whether Rinnegan trumps Sharingan or not, considering its been stated to be the greatest several times over, most recently in the chapter’s end when Konan and Madara were about to fight…I’m gonna say it’s the greatest. Not to mention Rikudou was literally godlike with it. Prime Madara from what we’ve been told was a badass…but Rikudou created the fucking moon, all jutsu AND the OP move Madara’s enjoying right now. Rinnegan = god mode.
