^I chalk that up to the story being told by Kushina who didn’t see most of it. She’s just going off of what minato told her, and really, what is he supposed to say? Who straight up emasculates themselves in front of their girl?
Kushina: How’d it go honey?
Minato: thinking**Bitch, do you not see the gigantic piece of my ass missing in the shape of a sharingan? …just play it cool, man, she hasn’t noticed. Man, pffft. I whooped that niggas ass.
Kushina: Whew. I was worried about you. Have a seat.
Minato: …I’m cool standing for a few years.
But whether or not you’re joking aside, we know that wasn’t just her retelling of the incident, because otherwise they would not have shown Itachi and baby Sasuke. Kushina was telling Naruto what happened and then for the readers sake we got to see exactly how it went down.
Not to add fuel to the theory fire, but I’m pretty sure Sharktongue is right about Pain and Madara’s business relationship. Pain did what Madara wanted him to of his own accord, not because Madara was necessarily more powerful. Otherwise we probably wouldn’t be dealing with a scenario where he hid his body from him so he couldn’t get Rinnegan. If Pain really was subservient to him like one of Oro’s lackeys, I doubt he would care if his leader had his eyes when he died.
Not saying you aren’t right about the Madara > Pain thing because we haven’t seen “real” Madara in combat to judge. But I just don’t see a dude who literally goes around calling himself God being submissive to anybody. Pain to me was like Sasuke and Kabuto; using Madara to achieve his own goals because they coincide.
Uh, dead people can’t hide their own bodies. The person who decided that madara shouldn’t have access to the rinnegan is Konan. And i’m not saying madara > Pein or vice versa. i’m just saying that when you hit the upper echelon of characters you can’t just say X>Y. All these dudes were flee on sight type for a reason.
If it was purely up to Konan, Madara wouldn’t have referred to Nagato in the last line of the chapter. He probably told Konan to stash him somewhere because…he didn’t want Madara getting his Rinnegan.
Naw son don’t back pedal. You was on some Itachi is the greatest ever juice a few pages ago. Wasn’t no talks about who owns who. And you clearly was inferring madara > pein due to him bowing down and all.
And I was always on the a > b then a> c tip for a while. Why i believe intel is the real winner. Cuz i still hold to the belief that Asuma coulda > Hidan had he known what was up before hand.
And Yea i also think Nagato didn’t want Madara having his eyes either. Seems implied, but this week we’ll know the deal.
And ii think the name of the jutsu has nothing to do with his potential force. Just cool sounding stuff sometimes. Like Gai’s jutsu names and such. Spinnning leaf kick or w/e. No leaves involved! ;p
whats even funnier is that madara hasnt shown anything but phazing, teleporting and knocking out fucking bijuus in one fucking jutsu (everybody got some memmory loss?). seriously nobody ko,d a fucking bijuu or jinchuuriki faster than that, ever. if this is just a shadow of his former self, does he even need more than that to kill anybody in this manga one vs one? if madara implants the rinnegan or somehow combines it with his ems along with becoming the ultimate jin of the ten tails, hell be so strong that even air aizens worn by ichigo will look like some discount shit worn by george michael.
