Nope, all the powers shown by the Pein bodies (excluding stuff like the rocket punch) were powers of the Rinnegan. The Alucard soul steal (and the soul stealing dragon), the absorbing of chakra, the summons, the revival ability, the big ass Gedou Mazou statue the Akatsuki use for the bijuu, the gravity jutsus, etc. were ALL Nagato’s powers.
Which is why it’s ludicrous that he lost to anybody in the first place.
Ugh, I don’t recall any of that ever being ‘explained’ to be powers of the rinnegan…they were jutsus that Pein had learned…he picked up every jutsu J-man taught him, so it can be ‘assumed’ that it was thru his travels that got the rest of those…
However you could be 100% correct, and when Madara gets the rinnegan he’ll get those powers and be able to resurrect akatsuki without needing Kabutomaru…
Probably because he spread himself too thin and tried to take on the entire village… almost destroyed it but not quite good enough…

They weren’t. It’s been stated that the rinnegan gives you access to any jutsu, not that it has jutsu of it’s own. In theory, it’s possible for Madara to do that shit via Sharingan if he saw it.
omg…the ninjas in naruto are so fucking stupid. on the list of obviously booby trapped objects, the scroll that the ninja essentially gives to you with his last dying action is pretty fucking high.
well team awesome is finally gone for good (cept for maybe more flashbacks of itachi). seeing how deadbeat gai was after going all these gates, a fresh kisame would have murdered him. unless the damage of the tiger is really that high, and kisame tried to absorb it again. but with his sword by him hed at least be able to reduce the damage done to him.
in the end gai won, but against a kisame that was deadbeat and had lost his sword. and he used all gates or all cept the last. (he says 8 gates in this scan?).
Kisame also got to act like a real G and have a good showing.

I’d like a Kisame Gaiden btw…of all the asakutsi members, he’s the only one who…I liked…Itachi had pew pew so that was an automatic turn off, and the rest while they had some good moments…just…they weren’t interesting…just one trick ponys or overpowered…Kisame was just a straight up shinobi…
Rinnegan: user is capable of mastering any jutsu type regardless of chakra requirements. IMHO… The wifi muppets with unified vision is not a defining ability… but a unique justu. Rikkudo doesn’t seem to be known for having multiple bodies but being able to master any jutsu type regardless of chakra requirements. He got that O type chakra and a lot of it…
given what rikkudo did with the moon… the gravity jutsu may be a signature of the rinnegan or just another rare Kekkei Genkai that is chakra base.
Sharingan: user is capable of copying any jutsu type user sees if users chakra type is compatible; got’s that fire and genjutsu on lock too. MS got black fire they can control, a god-tier genjutsu, and a summon from Bleach. EMS users don’t go blind after playin with their new MS jutsu for hours and may get another perk too.
Byakugan: user is capable of seeing any chakra type and has visual powers greater than coke bottle glasses. Helps them train in their chakra control and associated taijustu too.

I’m a huge kisame fan, but even if kisame was full powered , i think gai’s attack would have owned him. It basically comes down to knowledge.
of other people’s jutsu’s. Kisame had no idea it wasn’t a ninjutsu, so he used something that would have potentially rape most ninjutsu’s out there. So even full powered, the lack of knowledge behind gates /gai did him in. Whereas Gai had the knowledge of how kisame works by draining people . So he knew this technique would win.
and that is what it always boils down to in these super high nin fights. Knowledge of jutsu’s. That’s why Orochimaru knew what was up. He who knows it all will win it all. Cuz even back in the day, i bet if asuma knew what was up, hidan woulda died.
