Now you mention clones, are clones even useful against Uchiha? Since their eye can see color of charka. But clones are charka right, for example Naruto can control the amount of charka he put into his clones.
They can definitely tell if it’s a clone or not. But as for controlling the amount of chakra, there’s no way Naruto can control that. That’s the trade off for using them.
Actually, Kage Bunshins split the chakra evenly, thus being indistinguishable from the real body, IIRC. Back in Part 1 they explained that.
Yeah, but Neji could tell who’s the real Naruto during the exams right? The only way Naruto won is because he made a bunch of clones and hid his real self underground and got the surprise attack while Neji was looking for the real Naruto.
I’m not nearly as in the know as my brother (Alpha), but I believe the reason why Neji could tell is because of the chakra flow, which only Byakugan is capable of. Sharingan can’t do that.
Again, I don’t keep track as well so correct me if I’m off base.
EDIT: Come to think of it, could Neji even tell fully which one was which? He used Kaiten to repel all of them because he couldn’t be sure…only for the real one to Metsu Shoryuken him in the jaw.

This is why it’s such a dangerous technique. You guys are probably thinking of the technique used on Itachi and Kisame.
I don’t remember this. I remember Neji not being able to tell which one was which until Naruto intentionally made one of his clones stay back so Neji assumed that was the real one and he was wrong.

IIRC, neji couldn’t see the real naruto directly, but was able to infer the real naruto because it was the one that was standing back, not attacking directly. This was of course a trick, because the far naruto was actually a clone. Towards the beginning of the fight at the valley of the end, Sasuke says something like “with the sharingan, I can spot the real you right away” though, that MIGHT have been anime only…
edit: see, eldergod knows what I’m talkin bout…
yeah, sasuke does specifically say that he can see right through the kage bunshin and tell which is the real one because of his sharingan (that got a special power-up specifically for that fight) where as the fact that neji got completely tricked leads me to believe he didn’t have a clue which was real.
