Anyway, I’m still laughing at the fact that Kishi made Kisame survive the Bee fight through a total asspull only so he could die in an even more anti-climactic way. It’s like Kisame took his lunch money in fifth grade and he’s writing out his ultimate revenge or something. XD
Gai was basically always the only person who could beat Kisame due to his chakra absorbing hax. how is this a surprise to anyone? Godlike Taijutsu meant he only had to fight kisame on kisame’s own strength unlike anyone else in the series except Lee who isn’t that level yet.
Chapter’s out. The phrase, “you got knocked da FUCK OUT” comes to mind. 
But Kisame actually is still alive. And busts out of the constraints like the Kool-Aid Man. So he got to look cooler than I thought.
…Too bad this just means he’s gonna catch a Rasengan to the chest next chapter.
IMO Hokuto had a little shit at the end as well.
With the whole Lynn growing up and falling in love with Kenshiro thing. Kenshiro getting feelings for Lynn, but not doing anything about it because she was more like a daughter or baby sister to him than a girlfriend. It was realistic, but creepy as fuck.
The only thing good that came out of this chapter is that kisame can actually eat chakra without his sword, which makes him pretty powerful no hax involved. The fact that the entire gai vs kisame fight was essentially a single kamehameha battle was saddening. I guess we can all hope something cool happens after he broke out of restraints but I doubt it.
Guy has always struck me as a special case in naruto. Above all other characters he seems to be the one least likely to die vs anybody, its just type of character he is, he’s there for light relief, he’s completely virtuous, and he’s always been given the status is top tier through small nods in the writing. be it backhand-parrying Garaas fatality on Rock like it was nothing, from itatchi giving him a shout out dispite him looking like a clown. they even had to have him ‘out of town’ during the pain arc because, well, a gated gai beats just about everything. Of course it helps that his power level is largely undefined beyong being top tier, what does beyond hokage strength mean if not basically invincible?

he didn’t teach it to Neji…he only taught it to Rock Lee so he could keep up.
