And was it you that said that characters’ awakenings don’t grant them different Ougi? Or that they don’t have Ougi at all? Boooooo!!
And to clarify, the Ougi still trigger a cinematic, they’re just super short compared to what we’re used to, like you would expect from a Ninjutsu from the first game. And you can even bring your support character(s) in to protect you from them, s’neat.
tigers are beasts of doom and thus, that bizarre beast (gai) shooting a beast of doom would obviously make it taijutsu… i mean that makes sense? lol…
but i don’t mind, i just want the tiger to turn into a dragon. or a totally rad demon. gai sensei busting out some midnight demon destruction.

Spoilers are out, and they’re hilarious:
- Gai really does OHKO Kisame with the Noon Tiger. He grabs the scroll and is standing over him.
- Apparently Kisame tried to absorb the technique, but it’s not chakra based. Nor is it ninjutsu, it is in fact taijutsu.
- Kisame bites off his own tongue to commit suicide, rather than give up any information. Aoba tries to grill him for info, so I guess that would be why. It also shows a Kisame flashback, so he’s definitely fucked.
Apparently it is a taijutsu, make sense of that. 
Hahaha Kisame = irrelevant.
