I will agree that Zabuza would kill Jirobo. Theres no doubt in my mind about that. Jirobo is literally stronger than Zabuza. His data book entry has his strength at 5 and Zabuza’s at 4. But I doubt kishi goes by his data books, according to the books they are equal in Stamina. Damn near equal in Taijutsu, and Jirobo has more strength than him.
Do you think that Sakon and Ukon would kill him? I believe they would, the two of them together would give him troubles.
Agrees with everyone that thinks zabuza arc > all. If you were to judge Naruto solely on the first 19 episodes and disregard everything after, shit and otherwise, it would one of the best animated works of all time. Everything about it was absolutely perfect. Masterpiece story telling and directing. I don’t expect it to ever be that good again.
Umm to end this Already stated “Kisame is the strongest 7 ninja swordsmen” so that = Kisame is cooler/Baddass in any physical and mental way better then Zabuza.
I would have felt sorry for Kakashi if he fought him and Naruto,Sasuke,n Sakura on part 1, he sure can’t copy a water dome.
I don’t see how Kisame is “Relevent to the story” some guy says.
1.He’s one of the “Alive” remaining Akatsuki
2.One of his main objective was to capture “Naruto”
3.only Kisame and Zetsu was able to complete Madara sneak in plan but Kisame was the more proficient at that job,thus would creating a big part in the story in capturing Bee half completing his world domination plan. but Naruto new powers is messed that up.
4.Kisame still have important information to give his intel to Madara.
5.I don’t think Kishi will just troll us into thinking Kisame having this vital information for nothing.:wonder:

Anyway, the Akatsuki in part one were still the Akatsuki, elite badass group of uber ninja. Hell, they were arguably better in appearance back then than what we got, guys jobbing out to fit the storyline. So yes, even back then, even with the power scaled down, Kisame still would have kicked Zabuza’s ass.
He was memorable, he was tough for back in the day, but guys showing up even around the latter part of Part 1 such as Itachi, Orochimaru, Kisame, and Gaara all own him.
And once again, that’s what I was talking about. Not how memorable he was as a character or how good his arc was, but how strong he was. I addressed it since people let their hype for him go to their heads and started saying crazy shit like he’s still one of the tougher enemies in the manga. Not the storyline. The power level. That’s all I’m referring to.

Weakest argument you have here. All it means is that he could possibly mean more to the main character besides being a test dummy for his new powers. Zabuza although dead has leagues more plot relevance than Kisame ever will have. Granted it’s part of the virtue of being one of the first villians in a dramatic story arc. Kisames character was doomed to be a henchman to Madara since his introduction; henchman only get to fight, not influence the main character. Zabuza was your gangster archetype; sure he was employed by Gato but his introduction already established him as a anti-naruto. A ninja who had his own ninja way and had ambitions to rise way above what was expected of him. Zabuza may have attacked Madara during his coup for all we know and eventually killed the man that employed him; Gato. Gangster archetype is “Someone who will resort to violent acts against authority to further their own wild ambitions.” Zabuzas interactions with Haku led the main character to analyze his own philosophy, see the value of important people, and create his own nindo. You don’t get anymore relevant really.
An objective that he hasn’t been featured remotely coming close to accomplishing. In fact his interaction has been primarily with side characters. I’ll tell you what Kisames relevance is. He’s the straight man in the comedy relief duo of Gai and Kisame! At least he was allowed to suck some chakra from Naruto and be almost merc’d by one of Narutos punches.
The infiltration was pointless. We have Zetsu for spying. You know the guy who can see far distances, teleport, and all that jazz. Kisame is there to DIE. If he’s not, I’d be extremely surprised. Even if he lives, it’s not like it was something he planned moves the story forward or will influence the main character in a profound way. Sure he beat KillerBee via standard villian methods (while Bee was protecting someone else) but for what? All I can see him being used for is an expository for Narutos new sensing abilities and to showcase another characters ability. Kisame will change nothing “believe it!”

Sasukes plotshield is greater than Kisames. Don’t fool yourself
The most plot relevant akatsuki members so far? Sasori and Deidara, specifically for their interactions with the main characters. Yes Sakura is a main supporting character. During the Sasori arc she gained the most growth; Naruto experienced the loss of someone he was close to on a peer level, and he also realized that a Jinchuriki, even one as feared as Gaara can earn the love of his people. Hell Sasori even got a flashback; storywise he’s like Zabuza part 2 but he killed his Kage.
Kisame has…uhm…err…shit. He cut Asuma, got upstaged by kakashi, ran from Jaraiya, got his clone merc’d by Gai, had an off panel “something” with Suigetsu, and made a big ball of water where he sucked Killerbee dry. (I didn’t see any blood did you?) He fights! Thats it, with no real conclusion to the bloody fights.
Back to the whole original argument. I still stand firm in belief that most of the rookie nine at this point and time would kill Zabuza if not for a few special cases. Them being Hinata(maybe, she might pull something out her ass, but chances are she gets killed), TenTen(no reason needed), Ino(shes shown no new moves or powers). Those 3 are dead. Shino, Kiba, Chouji, and Sakura have a chance at beating Zabuza, and Naruto, Lee, and Neji would kill his ass.
3rd vs oro shits all over the zabusa arc. funny thing besides zabusa being total and utter crap is tha the best part about the entire zabusa arc was naruto going tails. for the first time some sort of power was shown, something a lot more interresting than those slow ass jutsus zabusa was throwing out. zabusas own fights besides the taijutsu aspect of it was just shit and weak. the chuunin arc is the first axtually interresting arc imo. zabusa was just a sad pedos intro to the narutoverse to give us some sort of idea of how and what.
naruto anime zabusa arc was probably one of the bes, but the manga its just a normal arc with nothing too special about it. get over it, just cause you cried over some damn pedo doesnt make an arc good or great. best arcs are with the best fights. and zabusa doesnt even get anywhere near that, 3rd vs oro, or all the other top notch fights including most aka and kage fights, along with some of the naruto and sasuke fights are the best. only thing zabusa arc does have that its better than those crappy ass training arcs.
Kisame may not have a deeper story than Zabuza have, but Kisame done thing good noticeable things and he does have key information that can continue/make Madara plans much easier.
Also Kisame was gonna kill Asuma till Kakashi blocked his attack with his own,Don’t forget Itachi was with him when they was forced to “run from J-man” Kisame was playing around with Gai trying to make him remember him, Gai couldn’t even touch Kisame when he got serious with his nunchucks then decided to make him swim with the fishes but then Gai was forced to open Gates then won.
Then Kisame captured the 4TK who could use Lava jutsu’s by himself no Akatsuki cloak injuries lol. Then Kisame had to switch places with Zetsu/lose on purpose knowing somebody would come to aid Bee (His brother E) to pursue Madara plan.
Kisame can’t kill the bijuu’s duh…
Zabuza sure can’t do the things Kisame can.
Yeah I know, not knocking it, but the conversation in here has sorta degraded to the point where only a new chapter can save it…fortunatly this isn’t Bleach (burn) - so osmething can actually happen in a single chapter. Imagin Kubo handling the 9T event and think of how long that would have taken in Bleach time…
OMG no cloak injuries from a battle Kishi didn’t even bother showing! Kakuzu got no clothes rips from the Nibi either. Hell Killerbee didn’t even BLEED from Kisames attacks. Why? It’s easier to draw them without these details.
