Naruto Thread 9.0 - The Manga is done, son!

Meh you act like we get breaks over here…there’s T-giving, Xmas/New Years…and thats that…maybe if your in school or something you get additional days off, but I wish I had 3 weeks…

Golden week feels like once a month

You already do. Christmas and thanksgiving alone average about 9 or 10 days off and then you have labor day, memorial day, fourth of july, etc. Americans get about 6 days plus whatever their companies give for xmas/new years. Japanese get 15. If you work for corporate america you get about 7 days for xmas break which really only leaves a 2 day difference.

what part of corporate america you work for. Cuz i was in the “machine” and you can use your pto to get off, but other than that, you’re working . And hell even using pto is “frowned” upon and considered someone who isn’t serious about the company. Shit using any vacation days in corp. america is like pulling teeth, unless you’re a top producer. And evenm then once you fall off, they rememver them times you took your pto uto.

I know this is off topic, but I had to comment: I’d absolutely beg to differ. That opinion is company based, not corporate America based. Upon being hired, I received pro-rated general PTO (includes vacation, sick and personal time) based upon time of hire. Because I got hired the first month of 2010, January, I received the full amount of days I could get for the year: 20. Everyone in my company walks in with 20 days PTO. Because we have other global departments in international locations, other international departments get 12 national holidays. The US side only gets 9. But, my company offers us 3 extra days PTO to make us even.

As far as I’m concerned, as this is my first professional position outside of being an intern, 23 days PTO at start where most people spend 5-10 years accumulating that much time is out of this world.

Also, after you finish your fourth year, you receive 5 more days on top of the 23 original you receieved at time of hire. After another five years, you get another 5. So if I worked here for ten years, I’d have 33 days total: 6.5 weeks off every year.

None of these days roll over though. Because of that, everyone is deeply encouraged to take the time off that they have and use up all of their days before the year end; regardless of the work completed.

By the way, we’re a software firm; We provide legal software for some of the biggest corporate conglomerates in the US/world. So work here isn’t as immediate as it would normally be elsewhere.

Hence, I’d say that the opinion on how time off and PTO in general should be taken is defnitely based on a company by company basis.

mad that theres no manga this week? yeah a lil. mad that theres no konoha nins dying at all, fuck yeah. i cant stand these plot armour characters that cant die, like the rookies and kakashi.

Most of America does not work like this. This being your first professional position means you got lucky. There are also exceptions in Japan.

The company that I work with right now (first job out of the military) gives us 200 hours of PTO a year.

jesus. that’s incredible.

200 hrs a year?? Wow.

If you define a work day by the standard eight hours, that means he gets roughly 25 business days of PTO.

Just sayin’: Don’t blame America, blame your place of work. As long as whom/what you work for isn’t directly tied to or is not government related, blame the company. It’s a free market.

:wonder:

If we’re talking sick, personal, plus vacation, I get over 200 hours. Add holidays to that and I get well over 300 hours of “PTO.” Plus, I work 9/80 where I get every other friday and weekends off and it’s a flex schedule. As long as I get in my 40 a week I can be here anytime for the most part. As an added bonus I can bank overtime and use it as vacation or get a check for it if I don’t want to save the time.

^I dont get nearly that lol…and im working roughly 50-60 a wk. But, work in general is pretty easy for me so its all good. Right now im watching Michigan stomp Phillipines in softball. One thing about Att we have tvs everywhere set on espn family channels.

i get 30 days PTO (vc, ph, sk) a year + 8 holidays = 38 days (or 285 hours).

have about 6 more years until those vc hours increase though.

These are related to naruto how?

I get off for a total of 7 days a year for vacations…I get 15 days a year in PTO/Sick…I don’t get paid overtime, I can’t bank it - its expected that I work close to 50+ a week.

You guys suck…
