This. they show him on a frog v. Madara in their battle during the introductory period of the series. Within the first couple of chapters I believe.
But, that doesn’t necessarily mean it holds true. It could just be that the story is being described that way, much like a “legend.” Legends are usually exaggerated, but we’ll see in the following chapters I assume.
Isn’s the 3rd Hokage the one narrorating the legend? I could be wrong but if so, he was there and should’ve seen it first hand. You make a valid point though and also, to further discredit my own, narration would be anime only so it boarderline does’t count in regaurds to voice actors/acting.

That’s what we’re referrencing. The Kyuubi fight with the 4th. The 3rd was fighting it first (or at least he said he would). Would that mean that when the 4th arrived and summoned Gama, that the 3rd was at least in the area? Can’t be hard to miss a giant frog and a giant fox causing havoc.
That’s true, I think he wasn’t suppose to teach Naruto anything (maybe a promise to the 4th) but gave him enough skills just to defend himself. So with half the 9Tails chakra sealed away in Naruto, the other half was with Minato? And when he passed, where did that go?
^Maybe that’s a hint to why the Kyuubi said Sasuke would regret it if he killed Naruto. Or has that already been clarified!? (I’m reaching)

Kinda surprised that Madara was able to survive a direct hit from a Rasengan though. But then, his body isn’t exactly normal; anybody else notice that white Zetsu-goop drippin’ from his arm? Same as when he ripped off his arm when fighting Fuu and Torune. His body’s been like that for a while, it seems.

Either way, the rasengan Konohamaru hit one of the Pains with didn’t kill him either. At least when Naruto did it on Kabuto we got an explanation.
Those chakra chains…they have to be a kekkei genkai. Naruto with the chains, teleports, sealing techniques, clones, sage mode, and odama rasengan barrage? Thats overkill hell…thats wow…Naruto needs to learn this shit now…
