Good chapter, explains some stuff and gave some interesting depth to the supporting characters. So yeah, Naruto really is a Senju by blood, albeit distantly.

It makes you wonder why Mikoto (who as we see is Kushina’s friend) didn’t raise Naruto in Kushina’s absence? Mikoto had to know who Naruto was. Kushina said “We picked a name, it’s Naruto” and then after the big attack happens a baby named Naruto is conveniently orphaned?
It will probably never be touched upon, but if it is I think it’ll turn out that Mikoto tried to take Naruto but the elders (because they knew Naruto was Kyuubi’s Jinchuuriki and didn’t want him in the Uchiha’s hands) or the rest of the Uchiha clan (because Naruto isn’t an Uchiha) weren’t having it.
Either that, or she really is the douchebag who wanted to overthrow the village Itachi made her and Fugaku out to be, so she would be asshole enough not to take her friend’s orphaned child.
