Naruto Shippuden Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 (LNPs, Tourney Rules added to OP)

Kankuro - to be honest is still kinda rediculous. But to play effectively he’s not the type of character you can just pick up and play. Teleport characters RAPE Kankuro though. And remember if you hit his puppets he loses chakra. I believe, if you hit him and the puppets at the same time, he takes extra damage. The biggest factor about fighting against Kank and Chiyo is dealing with the camera. But once u get the hang of it, it’s an easier matchup.

Kabuto - He lost a lot of his CONR2 juice. His health regain is back to GNT4 style, but in LNP it’s similiar to CONR2 style but not AS BAD. His b.B is EX3’s. Just bait it and plan accordingly. His b.A is new, and it’s recovery is hella decieving. Use that to your advantage.

All you guys who own a Wii, please give this game a shot. It’s very very good. I mean seriously. This is probably the best and most BALANCED naruto game to date. Looks pretty good, with some type of skill needed to be “good.”

Hidan - He’s actually not nearly as strong a character as you guys have been making him out to be. He does deplorable damage with his combos, and Y canceling doesn’t give you nearly enough damage to justify losing 25% chakra for it. Especially not since he has to work hard for the little chakra he does get back. Even if you try to cancel into BBBBX, the X won’t come out because BBBB only gives back about 24% or so. His only damage comes from throw damage or specials. The only things I’ve heard about him being good involve taking hits until his d.X in the circle does 70%+, but that means you have to be put into a highly disadvantageous situation of being low on life AND having to get the circle out AND get chakra back before getting back into the circle AND having time to do d.X.

Just wanted to post this here, this is my write-up on Temari that I did on www.willvolution.com:

**ACTUALLY Temari is A LOT BETTER THAN U PEOPLE ARE GIVING HER CREDIT FOR:

I’ve been playing Temari A LOT in this game. I actually NEVER played her in EX3 lol. But she got some tricks and u just have to play her at mid/long range MOST of the time.

What people fail to realize is that Temari is crazy strong. Her B string hits pretty damn hard. And she is a juggle MONSTER.

During her f.B string and u.B string (which you should only use for a meaty) she can side step air dash to either create spacing or to mind game your opponent. then after that the A tracks as if you were PLAYING EX3.

d.A is the fucking JUICE!!! safe on block for two reasons:

if they do try to do ANYTHING just A again after and they get pushed back.

if they don’t you can run up d.A again or mix up throw (and remember her d.Y is a GOOD juggle starter).

f.A is good to mind game your opponents, and of course to blow away projectiles. you can BA after f.A for pressure (not recommended).

recovery after j.B (use in BT to create distance and at lowest height), f.A, and j.A (at lowest height) is VERY misleading, use that to your advantage.

n.A (nuetral A) should always be thrown out at all time at mid to long range. mix up with the 2nd A in the string during block stun or d.A in case they try to side step it (then go into d.A mix ups).

mid range r.A (running A) is retarded good. recovery is weird. d.A (into mix up) if you are approached.

d.X can just be thrown out there. especially at mid range on wake up (make sure it’s a meaty). once your opponent is in the air, THEY have to guess right not YOU (that’s Temari’s whole game, MAKE YOUR OPPONENT GUESS aka gimmicks haha).

are all safe (lol)

THROW A LOT if you are in close distance. d.Y is recommended.

her b.B is PRETTY GOOD. follow up with A (you can delay this for A WHILE) to juggle afterwards.

SET PAPER BOMBS!!! just do it keep at least one out at all times.

Fan Dance (b.A) is ONLY recommended in LNP or when u are at an advantage (and can handle using Temari). Temari needs chakra to KNJ at critical moments, PB, and abuse her d.X

hopefully some of this will help in becoming a better Temari player. I like playing characters where u have to work incredibly hard for the win. But sometimes good tips are needed to make it a TAD easier (like in retarded matches vs. Hiruko). :p**

And where are the East Coast tournaments at? Granted, Final Round can’t acknowledge this game, SOMEONE can! Come on folks, get out of hiding and play this S***!!

The answer to this question is a resounding hell yeah!! And I mean this for all characters and even for standard BB presses.

For those of you that have faulted this game for button mashing, such attempts in this game WILL BE PUNISHED, no excuses.

I’m the guy Digimonemporer was referring to. I’ve been with the series for several years, and have earned a respectable place in the tournament scene. I’d like to personally vouch that this game has some pretty decent balance and that it is on of the more fun in the series. I personally have faith that this game has some great potential to be back to what it was in the glory days of GNT4, and possibly even more.

A comment specifically to any players in MI that may be interested in picking up the game, or that already have it and want to work on improving:

I live in southeast MI (about a half hour outside of Detroit in a very good part of town) and am willing to help people learn the game better, and possibly begin a real MI scene. I was referred here by Dark_Kakashi, another well respected member of the tournament scene, because he had heard there were others interested in this game. If anyone is interested in playing, please send me a PM here, or if you want a quicker response send me one on the willvolution forums, since this is my first post here and I’m not in the habit of checking this website yet. I’m willing to travel (within reason), and am perfectly fine with hosting gatherings at my place. Get back to me, and I’ll try to remember to look back here.

Singles is the main-stay. I don’t think there are too many tournaments that include squad. A lot of people think it’s a little broken, because you can’t hit assists while they’re on the screen and the amount of chakra gain while your partner is just sitting on the bench is wayyyyyy too high. I’m not about to debate it, but I just don’t play the squad mode myself.

I’ve dicked around with squad mode and, indeed, there is some kooky shit in there. I wouldn’t go so far as to say it’s broken, especially since you lose health so quickly, but yeah, the makings of stupidity is there.

Yeah, squad mode is nice, but not without flaws. It’s almost comparable to Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, almost being the operative word. It has as about many glitches as Marvel has, but still, haha, don’t bother, unless you’re devoted.

Single mode is the way to go, and online play isn’t too bad if you use a LAN cable connector (and if your online opponent does the same). The lag can be atrocious but this game’s online mode is awesome in light of the recent Tekken 6 online lag fiasco.
