Feel free to share what you discovered during your conference call spudlyff8fan. I’ve seen the previews and could recognize most of the changes right off the back (slight special changes, some basic attack changes within broken characters such as Itachi, etc.). I’d be interested to learn what else is going on that I’m not aware of.

To everyone else, I’m not sure Naruto can be compared to VF or Tenkaichi. There are some major differences between all of these games, each of which makes that game awesome in its own right. I would argue that Naruto offers the best fan service with each of its games compared to other games. To feel like you’re actually one of the ninja characters from the show is pretty cool.
I used to play gnt4 and i thought it was alright. Yea it had a small scene but it was too stiff imo. Aside from that though I think it was the closest any naruto game came to being a decent fighter. I also have NUNS which is mad fun but its no competitive game in my book. All the combos in that game are pretty much mashable and all you do is redirect then end for a launch, a knockdown, or for a chase.
Don’t get me wrong i think those games are fun but as far as being a competitive game its meh
Yeah, I think that is also the intention of the developers. You could have fine fighting mechanics, but the target group is mostly consisting of nonhardcore nonfighterplayers which isnt interested in that. I aint too, I prefer the atmosphere in games with backgrounds like that.
Gekitou Ninja Taisen 4 was the best one and had the biggest scene. we had a small scene for it here in GA. we had tournaments like every other month for it. the problem was having to import it and then having that region free disc to be able to play it on the cube. another thing was you couldnt use a stick for it and some ppl thought it was way to easy. i thought there was alot of depth into the game and ppl hated on itachi.:lol: which he was not broken. one tail was overpowered but still the game felt balanced and ppl really got punished for teleporting in that game. to me they need to bring that game back with online. i would get it and play it in a heartbeat just my two cents. please oh please no items or stuff to hide behind like they tried in other games. imo it ruins the game.
Nah, confidentiality agreements have me saying much more on lockdown. But I like what they’ve done so far.

yea ppl hated on Itachi. Even now on the other taisen/COTN games. He was beatable but you had to think alo tharder.
Itachi was like a Mango Sent and Magneto all rolled into one during the GNT/CON series B, he wasn’t invincible but in the right hands it sure looked that way (stupid good priority, godly assists with his clones, combo cancels left and right)

We didn’t talk about the individual characters. That’s not until November. We talked about gameplay development and new game modes.
And yeah, in CONR2, Itachi was really good. He did have beastly priority with a ridiculous ability to just lock your shit down with clones. Itachi could actually slow the game down, he could do so much stuff at a time. I figured out ways to just have three Itachis on screen at a time, the entire match. Gaara had some glitchy unblockables, though.
Anyone play that new PSP Akatsuki Rising Naruto game? Looks like UNS2. Do want.

itachi like otk naruto were scrub killers cause you could just spam one thing and win.:lol: to beat itachi you had to side step his clones all of them belive my friends side stepped the shit out of me. also itachi is not that great up close. you can back peddle out his B combo strings so his block string was left to only 2 or 3 hits. down B,B is super unsafe and now that i think of it most of itachi’s weapons were unsafe execept jump A:lol: but thats even unsafe up close cause on recovery you can be thrown. if he hits you tho its over bettery much. i loved this game wish they would bring it back with online.

Never really got into the tournament scene myself so I don’t know what its like. The only Naruto game I got to play was Clash of Ninja 2.

Thanks so much for posting those videos. They are simply amazing. I cannot wait until Naruto Clash of Ninja Revolution 3 comes out.
For those of you that have seen the new Naruto videos for Naruto CONR3, do you think that this game will make it to the tournament scene? If you’ve played the previous games, you have to watch the new videos and read previews to see how the game has changed. It’s Naruto, but it’s a completely different game with some interesting nuances that make the gameplay stricter. Let me know what you think about this new game coming out November 17th!!
