It’s actually the other way around…ST dinosaurs hating on that 3s.
So that basically means it has no depth at all.

You realize what site you are on, right?
If it exists, somebody on SRK hates it. iT’s the hate that brings us together. ~<3
First off, let me say that this is a “Naruto” post. Please keep discussions to Naruto or feel free to start your own thread.
“all of us were really getting into the game, thats until one person decided to mash the block button which allowed him to teleport everything, now I dont even look at the game ruined by that stupid little thing, they just need to make everything tighter” - Ki Shima
The teleport/ substitution system in Naruto has always been problematic. On the one hand, you can escape potentially anything, but on the other, it makes it that much harder to do combos when your opponent can escape and punish you whenever.
I always found the substitution aspect of the Naruto games fun. Both opponents have similar opportunities in utilizing the substitution system, and in the case of the ps2/ps3 versions of the Naruto game, you can have extremely intense matches in which you and your opponent are constantly substituting. For the Gamecube/Wii versions, I do like how you can perform a few combos without fear of substitution since the meter must reach a certain point before subs can take place.
Substituting is one of Naruto’s signature mechanics. Most other fighters have the equivalent “bursts” which can usually only take place at most twice maximum in any given fight. Naruto, however, has subs that will take place quite a few times in a fight. The timing for subs in ps2/ps3 is fairly strict and does not always happen, which provides a slight sense of balance, although it shouldn’t take a new player long to realize that consistently pressing the block button if not attacking will yield favorable results usually.
You tell me. How do YOU feel about substitution in Naruto? Is it a nuisance or is it enjoyable? Is it broken or is it fine the way it is?
I think that since they are not always perfect and the timing is strict, it should be ok. Everyone has their own way of reacting to what is going on the screen. Some people may be able to do KnJ almost every time while others will struggle to pull it off even once. It is not that hard or easy.
no depth at all? tenkaichi is a very deep fighter, well actually tenkaichi is only as deep as it’s players, its the VF of anime games
I thought Super DBZ was supposed to be deep, as far as dbz go. The Naruto franchise has changed over the years, within its respected series. I played the ps2 naruto games more and I like the fact they made the supers shorter, cuz b4 you would be stuck watching a combo into super for like a solid minute lol.
I Accept but which?
lol @ at the VF of fighting games.
Ultimate Ninja storm could of been it but maybe they address some things in UNS2
“That is the most fucking retarded ass logic I have ever read. Ever. Holy fuck you must be retarded.” - Stuart Hayden
man I had to quote somebody on that B…
what? how is it confusing? tenkaichi is a good game, i dunno disagree if you want its not as if i want you to play it with me or anything
what? ive played very good UNS players, it really isn’t as good as you think it is. its so simple, there’s a hell of a lot more to think about in Tenkachi 3, and then you add team battle in there and the depth blows UNS out of the water
I don’t know what kind of crack mindset UNS is putting you under but you seem to enjoy it, and that’s good cause I want UNS2 to get as much funding as possible, the game will get better. I think UNS2 being online with better environments/interaction might topple Tenkaichi.
if tenkaichi meets a true next gen over haul then I guess that would make it like UNS2 but with flying, eh?
this conversation sounds fucking stupid btw
Krazykone- ok what’s the VF of anime games then? yes SDBZ is the firm answer but the games like a prototype of an actual good game, its a game that makes ou say things like “why play this when I have tekken and street fighter?”
I don’t know, im wrong I suppose because I don’t play enough anime games
You’re the only stupid one here.
(lightly pushed by a nerd) that’s the image I got from that post
edit: I take that back, that’s not nice
There’s yet to be a anime game with enough depth/balance/AI to warrant the title “VF of anime games”, imo the only anime game that would even come close is Naruto Ultimate Ninja 3 on PS2 and even then comparing to VF would still be a insult B…
huh? ohhh that’s how you lot are judging what I said… no i meant in the little world of anime fighters, the one that has the most depth is tenkaichi. I wasn’t saying VF and T3 are equal
you seem to know what you’re talking about and I wanna know, please explain how UNS has more depth than T3 and please explain an understanding of both games systems and frame data knowledge.
oh and please explain why NUN3 is the closest to VF, ive never played it before. if you can dispute what I say you can confidently bring these facts to the table, thanks!
Well I never said NUNS was more deep than T3, I don’t really play NUNS that much (I prefer the PS2 one’s) so I don’t care to explain, I leave that to someone else B …
Well where do I start (cue my nerdiest post on SRK )…
- Customizable Ougi’s
- Customizable Jutsu’s
- Diverse movelists and no cloned combo strings (42 characters not counting henge’s which also have they’re own move set as well
- Status effects, Tsukiyomi mode actives after certain ougi’s, Byakugan can activate after a certain amount of hits are done in a combo, Sannin mode activates throught taunt IIRC, Sharingan after a ougi etc…
- Jump, double jump (navigable), air dash, items, circle combos, circle combo enders (can end with :l:, :r:, :u:, :d: or square to halt the combo altogether, also works in the air), air combos, ground throws, air throws, transformations (which dramatically changes the characters moveset)
That’s about the basics B :wonder:…
I had a conference call with Tomy last night, and they totally revamped the gameplay for Clash of Ninja Rev 3. Previews will probably be up soon.
i really liked ninja storm, and think that game can be seriously played competively, but the teleport feature really kills gameplay for me
i mean, it doesn’t even cost chi to teleport so we’re left with fighting similar to this
combo interupted by teleport into combo interupted into …and so on
wish they would’ve put a cost of teleportation counter system, like budokai 3
just my oppinon
…
Jojo and HNK imo
HNK and JoJo’s are in a league of they’re own as they are too manly to be classified as anime games :china:
