Frank, I think it keeps ST and HDR players happy – most SF2 players will prob play both and that’s a good thing even if they prefer one over the other. I’m really glad the Naptown guys were able to work with us on this.
Sooooooo who’s bringing the guns and the ST board? I have my CPS2 18-in-1 and ST board I can bring if need be, but I don’t have a gun.
Yeah, for the record I think the low-tier ban list is wack but low-tier Marvel is a joke anyways so I don’t really care, lol. As long as you guys are cool letting us run a real Marvel tourney for $5 on the side you can ban Roll, BB Hood and Servebot for all I care

Hey yo, it’s me, it’s me, it’s RDG (Rush Down God) VDO, here just wanted to say what’s up fellas and give my opinion on the low tier mvc 2 tourny. I say since it’s prolly 1 of the last MVC2 tournys of low tier I say you should people choose whatever team they decide that’s considered low tier like they were gonna do for SB5! Just take out the top tier and the god tier and there you go! Make it happen fellas and I’m sure you’ll get better results for combatants!
Chris you guys will be swinging right past my house for this event…you can come over and stay overnight friday if you want or possible scoop me up on the way!
all this tourney talk gets me all hyped up. 4 da record this will b my first Naptown Clutch/Clash event so im very xcited bout that. i will try my hardest to come out on top yet win or lose, im still gonna have fun and mayb meet some new ppl in the process.
So I read the last 5 pages or so… Nobody talking about ssf4 is it still the main tourney game along with mvc3? I’m coming with a few friends for those games along with some 3s on the side hopefully. How is the mvc3 tourney going to go with unlockable characters? Will we have all characters ready to pick? Also, mvc3 and ssf4 are still being held only on ps3 right? Gotta make sure I bring the right stick.
Frank - yup i know exactly what you are talking about. i had that problem at MWC. after ST i started playing HDR and thought the tv station i was on was incredibly laggy. come to find out it was just that huge of a speed difference between the games that i never took notice of before.
Chris - i also agree with what you say. it’s like utilitarianism. the greatest good for the greatest number of people. in this case having both ST and HDR is a great thing for SF2 enthusiasts like myself. do everything in our power to keep the SF2 scene alive and prominent.
Scott - get used to it dude! SF2 will always reign supreme.
Nothing against SFII, I just haven’t played it in, oh… 15 years. =P
I just wouldn’t be able to compete in it and I want to play games I actually know! SSF4 is mainly the only one, but I’m going to try and get the hang of MvC3 in the few days before the tournament. I never played MvC2 so I’ll probably get stomped, but I’m sure it’s not a prerequisite to learning how to play decently.
As long as there is still SSF4 I’m happy =) I’ve been playing a little smarter with Akuma lately. I want to use Akuma in MvC3 but I don’t know what teammates he’d go good with since I have no vs. game experience. Trish and someone else with a good assist maybe like Dr. Doom? I dunno >_<
Really excited to come out and play again though! Can’t wait, only a couple weeks away.
duuuude… there’s an idea… you’re antsy to run something and i’d love to see teams… only thing is that would take forever… and the schedule is done up… talk to me the day of and i’ll check the schedule, if we have time and room and resources it will happen… it’ll happen throughout the day though so be prepared to pull your hair out

I’ve been MIA from the boards for a week or two, but it was for a good cause. I’m currently unlocking the secrets of my new HD PVR ! I’ve been thinking about picking one up for awhile now and I finally parted w/ the coin…just in time for Marvel 3 and NapTown Clutch.
Now, not only will we have a Stream we will have a set-up that can record High Stakes / Money Matches on PS3…I’ve been playing w/ the record settings for a few hours now and this little machine is too GDLK but kind of a bitch to set up.
Will the Superguns running ST have adapters so I can use one of my sticks? You know I hate using Jap-style sticks. I don’t get how everyone clamors for arcade ST, then they want to play it with Sanwa parts, when every arcade ST machine in North America had HAPP sticks and buttons. I keep it real old school! LOL.
