Don’t mind if I post a link to this on Dustloop. We’ll want as many players as we can get, right? lol
I’ll be there for MvC3 and I’ll probably get blown up since I’ve never played MvC2 outside of casual play. I’m hoping for some BB:CS casuals though, I’ll bring my PS3 for that reason and I’m hoping that someone has a spare TV for use lol.
Sooooo what’s the deal with unlockable characters in in MvC3? I assume a lot of people will want Sentinel, Akuma, Hsien-Ko, and/or Taskmaster on their teams, but they’re all unlockable for beating the game a few times or accumulating points. Are we going to have access to these characters in the tournament or will it be a bunch of fresh copies that have never been played on yet?
I say all MvC3 characters need to be unlocked if you plan on donating a system. So get on that unlocking Tuesday night; I know I will. Can’t go without Taskmaster for too long.
It likely won’t take long… beat the game 4 times, play some online matches, etc. etc. I think you earn points for doing most anything in the game. Just wanted to make sure since I want to play Akuma and Sentinel on a team and want to hit the ground running when I get the game in training mode since I’ve never played a vs game before so I don’t get ABSOLUTELY demolished, just mostly demolished.
people are saying an hour or two and you’re good. Maybe you should designate some setups exlusively for people playing those chars, or at least mark the areas that have them with some colored tape on the ps3 or something. Akuma is gonna be popular, and I want to play task. :nunchuck:
Why hasn’t this thread been stickied yet? Also, there are 11 games going on with the team format included. Getting all this in might prove unlikely. I’d suggest HDR teams or singles but not both. Make sudden death SSF4 the mystery tourney or scrap it. For a one day tourney, might want to keep it around 6-7 games. Just some suggestions.
Yeah this list is being packed, unless your assigning 3 tables w/2-3 setups on each and sum1 running each one this shit is gunna be mad hectic. Also gotta schedule setup?
Well HDR is the only thing on 360 and we’re bringing our own tvs / systems and to be honest most people coming for HDR aren’t going to be playing a bunch of other stuff except ST and probably either Super or Marvel 3
Again, just to make sure… but if my friends and I are playing primarily SSF4 and MvC3, do we need only PS3 sticks or 360 sticks too? I see it’s on PS3, but are any side tournaments or other brackets going to be held on a 360 that I would need to bring one of those sticks for as well?
Typicly you only need to bring a PS3 stick, and the match can only be switched to 360 if BOTH players wish to. The fighting game community isnt known for organization so just be understanding. There is always one ass who can’t be bothered to read the thread and then comes the day of the tourny ready for a gamefaqs style console war.
Regarding side tournies, money matches, and casuals; there are sure to be a few 360s around and you might want a stick handy but it will be easier to borrow too.
My solid plan of being able to go was mostly knocked out yesterday – slim chance I can make it there from Toledo and back the same day but doubtful. Sorry guys I’ll know a few days before if it’s in the cards but prob not for me. Sorry I’ll miss an awesome event.
