NapTown Clutch - Indpls, IN - 2/19/11- SSF4, 3S, HDR, ST, MvC2 low tier, & MvC3!

Just for reference, my 100$ match with Jimmy Bones was a first-to-10. When you get into the higher amounts, it turns more into endurance tests. :wgrin:

^ i wanna see more of this… i know all of you just got back on your taxes so don’t be stingy with your moolah

James – I like it, let’s do it!

Im down to hear all money match challenges in Super 4.

Money match station is a great idea

sounds like a plan

Lol. Nuff said.

Damn I shut the whole thread down with that post! Get your stuff organized about HDR/ST…I need to come out to circle center again for some good chinese food!

it’s organized enough. you just need to know there will be singles for supergun ST and HDR, double for HDR, and maybe doubles for supergun ST. lol. plus Thelo is coming all the way from Canada, and Royal Phlush is making the trip too. all kinds of good times

3s 3s 3s 3s 3s

also fun times ahead of us

Cant wait for mvc3 hype.

Finalized schedule updated in the the 2nd post… also MM station info

we’ll be running ST and HDR aswell as HDR teams, so as to not split the numbers both singles tournaments will take place one after the other with HDR going first… i’m sort of held up on the entry fees for each one though, both of em should cost 10 to enter but i want to encourage people to enter both… maybe a reduced price for entering both or something

You should change your first post and the title to say HDR and ST (supergun). I think most of the SF2 players would be ok with $10 for ST and HDR, and then $5 a person for the 3v3. What does everyone else think?

Well, I was personally okay with 50$ entry @ Season’s Beatings, so really I’m always okay with higher entry fees. 5$ tourney pots are often kind of sad, second place barely gets to earn back the venue fee. :looney:

To be honest it always baffles me to see some people drop so much cash on hotels and food, then balk at the difference between 5$ and 10$ entry fee.

I’ve already suggested to Barzaad running ST for a higher amount and HDR for 10. I suggested 25 or 30 for ST singles, so we’ll see what he thinks about it. I also restated that HDR teams was going to be 2v2 A-Cho style.

I think it’s a little late to promote a high stakes ST tourney. High stakes ST at SB worked because it was promoted the right way and well in advance.

The official “ST” (in quotes because it still says HDR: Classic) tournament at Naptown has been advertised at $5 entry since the thread started. Changing it two weeks out to high stakes will probably just cause some planned entrants to drop out rather than drawing other players in. Just my take on it. Not saying it should be $5 bucks, but probably shouldn’t be $50 either.

changed the thread heading to include ST and HDR… nomrah is right… can’t make ST a highstakes tourney at this point… but i think $10 for both will be alright… that work for all the SF2 peoples?

MVC3 teamsss?!!! lol

Alright, SF2 should be settled then. Official ST Singles (supergun) for $10, Side HDR Singles (360) for $10, and Side HDR 2v2 (360) for $10/team.

Sounds good to me :woot:

I just want to make sure I’m not misreading the schedule: HDR is starting at 2pm, right?

Also, yes, this looks really awesome.

There is really no need to ban Iceman in marvel, not that anyone cares either way.

Console to Console is an easy transition but having a really laggy port of ST and then playing arcade ST is just too much…I’ll just try to make it out for Arcade ST for a few hours. We tried it at MWC last year and it was really messing alot of players up who had been playing arcade ST for 8+ hours and then tried to play HDR in a tournament…
