all right cool tell me asap when u get i do want to change the buttons and maybe even the stick only for the fact that i am used to sanwa. But if people insist they are better i will keep the buttons
About to get a Namco from Meus, just wondering, because I see a lot of rusting going on with the backplates. Should I spray some paint/clear coat to protect it?
I love my namco, but due to play time I had rust spots through the paint where my palm rested⦠so I sanded down the thing and repainted it! In retrospect I would have went pink, but anything is better than the wet irony smell.
Looks good! Youāve breathed new life into an old aging Namco! Props to that!
What exactly is with these? Why exactly are they so extremely valuable and sought after
The size is one thing, the corners on the stick are great, stiffness in between a seimitsu and sanwa. and the buttons are incredibly sensitive and nice and wide. It also has a metal CP.
just yea the dam size is amazing
screw bringing a dam te to a touney
thanks to meus, picking one up on sat!
Oh, okies. Iāve never had one, so I never quite understood. A good size is always handy ^^.
This thing is fucking awesome. The inward tilt, the compactness, the joystick, everything is great. Glad i got one.
yo, is there anything else i can use to cut the arms of the JLF other than a dremel tool? i donāt have one and i dunno if i want to spend the money to get one heh. or if someone could tell me how to replace the springs and microswitches of the stock namco, that would be ok too.
cosign everyone on the namco being an awesome stock stick though
Same as JLF.

Except the Restrictor part.
Just remove the four screws.
Another way to cut the tabs?
I do not know.
thanks for the information. i just ended up taking the microswitch from my broken T3 stick and that seemed to do the trick.
joy! now my corners wonāt be fāed up like before.
Hereās my post from the New Arcade Stick thread, figured I should share it here:
I love mom and pop video game stores. The owner of a shop in Hawaii dug up this NIB Namco and sold it to me for only $70. Thereās even plastic wrapping on it!

Iāve had a few good days with a Namco thanks to Meus. Originally I had a lot of problems with the joystick, so I took it apart and analyzed it. Overall itās the same thing you find in the modern day FS3/EX2/FSWii with a much stiffer spring. I do note that the Omron microswitches in the Namco were made in Japan and constructed of a beautiful shiny plastic. Horiās today use Omron microswitches made in Thailand with a much cheaper looking plastic, but feels about the same. I switched the spring and it feels much better and I could execute fine again.
Buttons feel great, Iām definitely keeping those. The PCB Iām not so sure. It works fine but Iād love not to have to use an adapter and USB cord extension.
Overall Iām really glad I got this stick and it is all they say it is.
I see you got it from ToysnJoys in Hawaii. Did you get it from Honolulu or the Aiea location? I walked from my resort area three miles away to go the Honolulu store and asked if they had any other arcade sticks besides the mainstream ones you could get on amazon. The guy said he only had an snes stick and I got that for $10. This was 4 weeks ago. I should have bugged him more. I guess I canāt complain though because I got a good condition namco at another mom and pop store in my hometown for 5 bucks last year.
@d7onr8
I got it at the Honolulu location. Thing is though, I came in there strictly looking for a namco, so I guess that helped out a little. Oh and if anyone wants an OK condition tekken tag stick, go hit up Honoluluās Toys N Joys for the $15 special lol.
Am I too picky or does anyone feel like the Horiās ball sucks? (No pun intended)
Everytime I go back to my TE, I get this relief from my joystick hand because of the Sanwa ball, itās got a smoother surface, itās a tad smaller and the crease in the middle is much more minimal. I have a black Sanwa ball on my Namco now, Iād order a new Sanwa/Seimitsu but does anybody know if the colour would be different from the buttons? It would look really bad if they were off colour.
The other option would be to try to dye the buttons black but Iām afraid Iāll mess them up as you canāt exactly just buy new ones.
God damnit, Iāve got no job, and no money, I just spent all of it on EVO, and thereās a Namco stick on Ebay for 60 bucks shipped, and Iām so pissed I canāt buy it. ;_;
nvm done.
Just wanted to post my completion of Namco Arcade sticks total of 15 and still got 3 more coming so 18.
