Iām almost done sanding and cleaning out the majority of the case for the mod, but I was wondering what would be the best way to mount a JLF and make it future proof for opticals and such later on? Iām not too keen on using the Hori shaft as I wouldnāt be familiar with how it feels and with selling off the majority of the other gaming merchandise I have, will be the only stick I use in a long time. I saw a method where they counter sunk the top panels and removed a portion of the plastic, but what other methods are there to mount it without having to dremel the bottom panel?

I have 2 of this babys (pay 5 bucks for each one a few years ago in a flea market i use to work) one is in perfect condicion but the other one the joystick deadzone is very looseā¦ i took apart the joytick to stretch a little bit the spring but is still very looseā¦ do anybody know if i replace the spring with a JLF-SP or ls-32 spring will fix this baby?
yuou should be able to use whatever sanwa/seimitsu spring you want. I put a ls-56 spring in for more tension. I canāt stand loose sticks.
Im gonna give it a try whit a new spring ā¦i had this baby in a corner collecting dusts for yearsā¦ but after reading all this post my love grow againā¦hope someday i found another one for modding (or in case this one doesnt feel good after i change the spring im gonna modāit)ā¦

yea theyāre greatā¦i was pretty happy i didnt ruin the pcb as it was my second time soldering anything. The other one is just sooo minty fresh I wont be doing anything to it. Iāll post some bigger ones soon
