All these pictures make me want to sell my dual modded TE and get a namco again. But I still wouldn’t pay $150 for one lol.
ohh so purty!
nice nifty may have u paint one for me
im about to join this fraternity of namco arcade sticks
Welcome to the club!
So meus, were you the guy that outbid me on that Soul Edge bundle that just ended on YJA? laffo
No i lost on that bid too. I thought u won that soul edge stick…
Oh weird… well at first I thought someone using SMJ won it, because it says I lost in My Items page. But now when I look at SMJ’s listing for the auction, it says that there were 0 bidders. If I try looking at the listing directly on YJA, it redirects me to login. I think the seller pulled the item or something. Damn.
Can you use the Namco stick with a PS2>GC converter?
After changing the spring for a ls-32 i dont feel the need to mod my namco sticks anymore…its just to perfect at its own…
Copy from Converter Compatibility Thread
PS2 to GameCube/Wii
Cube JoyBox Pro by Mayflash: These are the most commonly recommended converters for GC. They work with Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on Wii.
Compatible with: PS2 DS, PS1 DS, PS1 Digital, HRAP 1, HRAP 2/SA, MAS, Namco PS1, Tekken 5, SFAC 3.5V, SFAC Controller
Great thanks, the best place to get a joybox is playasia right?
Anyhow a week ago I just typed in “arcade stick” into ebay just to see what’s selling etc and was completely surprised when I found a Namco arcade stick up with original box for sale!Ive only ever seen one on sale on the UK Ebay before so this was a rare occurrence. What was even better though was the price, which was 23+4 postage=27($40).I snapped up immediately after keeping up with this thread for so long and knowing how hard/expensive these are to come by outside of Japan.
Anyway here are some pics:
Namco Stylin
Hello all,
I like to share with you guys my beloved namco stick, Chill Effect.
The stick was won on a bet that i could not pass star fox 64 on my first try. I hadn’t played the game since it came out btw. If i lost, it was going to be a steak dinner on me.
This stick has traded hands in my South Texas community a few times already. I believe the name chill effect came from name of the one of the previous owners that used ice man in a marvel team.
The parts are Seimitsu threaded buttons and a Sanwa JLW stick.
I know a JLF would have fit and everything, but JLFs are for shoto bitches
You can see that the metal plate does not quite fit right on the bottom. I needed to cut a hole in it to keep the shaft from rubbing the plate. I think it gives it character.
Originally, I was making this stick on a budget, so I installed used buttons from a madcats te. Man those sucked… I had to super glue those in because they didn’t snap into place.
I’ve assisted on other friend’s sticks, but this was my first solo mission. The stick is great to play on and the only one i use in tourneys. Honda FTW!

New to the community, been lurking for awhile and decided to step in and spread the love!
Anyway, here’s my very own Namco Fight Stick. Honestly I never heard of it until after I bought it, I basically purchased it out of curiosity more than anything. By far one of the most comfortable setups I’ve ever played with, the housing is perfect for lap playing and I’ve grown really fond of the incline.

Other than thin surface rust on the bottom panel it’s relatively spotless. I toyed around with the thought of modding it but really, it’s quite a great stick on it’s own. I can’t bring myself to “taint” it by modding it. Almost like a classic car
Best part? The price I paid for it:

Wow.
$3.99?
Chill effect looks like it has been through wars complete with old blood stains
3.99 is a hard price to beat
I was wondering if an LS-33 would fit neatly into a Namco, anyone tried it?
anyone have a “parts” namco? i want to buy the gray start/select buttons
anyone knows if Seimitsu PS-14-KN Pushbutton can fit in a Namco stick???
It is Japanese, it is 30mm; yes.
