If all you need is a Namco Arcade Joystick shaft, then you can just use one from one of Hori’s budget compact sticks like a Fighting Stick 3 or a EX2. They all use the same joystick assembly. Hell, even the Tekken 5 Collector’s Edition stick uses the same joystick assembly (DON’T USE THE SHAFT FROM THIS THOUGH UNLESS YOU WANT YOUR NAMCO STICK TO HAVE A DISPROPORTIONATELY HUGE SHAFT </homosexual>).
Missing a button would have been better then missing the entire bottom panel, I think 40

I got that auction for $30 plus shipping. i probably could have gotten it for less if I didn’t place a bid an hour before the auction ended. Not too worried about it since I’ve been looking for namco stick to see what the fuss is about. I’m happy with the price I paid. He says it is missing a button, however, i can’t figure out what button he means by looking at pictures.
I work at a sheet metal shop, so I am not worried about the bottom panel, I can always get one made at work. Speaking of which, anyone know what size and thread the screws are for the bottom plate?

must say I can now see why these things are so popular. I like the size and weight of the stick, and the stock joystick and buttons are nice n smooth.
Not sure if it is a good or a bad thing, however, owning this one just makes me want to hunt down another one.

In 2 days I managed to find 3 of these legendary sticks. 2 I found at a pawn shop for $10 each. And the 3rd i found at a game store on the west side of town $17.99. Needless to say I snagged them cause i’m greedy. I opened them up to look at the guts and 2 were stock parts. The other had a seimitsu LS-32-01 and seimitsu screw in I-don’t-know-the-part -# buttons. That would be the first time i’ve ever found a modded stick anywhere not online. I’ll get some pics as soon as i get the camera working. I’m proud.

They might be my 2nd favorite stick now. Nothing will top my original custom I got from NiteWalker back in '06 but the namco is the best stock stick ever made. To bad hori doesn’t make them like they used to.
