Hey guys, I just stumbled across this thread while browsing. I’m surprised that there’s still such a high demand for this stick even with the TE and RAPs out there!
I’ve got a Q though. A few years ago my friend was in Japan was able to find a Soul Edge namco stick bundle in pretty much exactly the same shape as the one in the auction from a week back. After I started playing on it though, I noticed that the stick was really stiff and that it took quite a bit of arm strength to activate the microswitches. To clarify, the stick had a black label on the back and was made in China. In comparison I tried out my friend’s Namco Stick which had a green label, Made in Japan and had a fairly loose, responsive joystick. I figured that it might have been because the stick was barely used, so it wasn’t really broken into but I’m not sure.

What do you guys think? I really like playing on it but the stiffness simply tires my arm out pretty fast.

For anyone interested I am selling my Namco stick for $60 + shipping: Link

Might regret this later

Cant do 2morrow bec im sleeping that time and getting ready for work at 11pm for night shift can meet u sunday after 12pm.

cool i work until 6 on sunday and i’ll be right at yonge/st. clair. i pm’d you just get back to me sunday works fine

The Namco plexi panel is great! Although it raises the front panel of the stick, it doesn’t scrape my wrists when playing. For those planning to install a JLF stick on it, the plexi will cover the countersunk holes used for installing the joystick. Sanwa OBSF buttons or snap ins works perfectly on these panels, regardless of clearance.

Good stuff networkingyuppy! It’s great to know that this will make mods on these sticks (LORD forbid this happens too often!) much easier since now people won’t have to worry about aesthetics when mounting new joysticks.

It you guys wonder why networkingyuppy has countersunk holes, he installed Sanwa JLF TheRealNeoGeo way.
