Haha, to the right of the TV it’s the ASCII Grip PS1 controller! I have fond memories of that controller, playing Breath of Fire III & Final Fantasy Tactics!
Yep, that was a recent purchase. It’s a fun little controller but the dpad is a tad too stiff for my tastes. It may not be broken in since I bought it new. My house is cluttered with random crap like that.

By the way Kyle, what’s that SHMUP those two are playing? I can’t recognize it from the blurry image coming from the TV. All I can conjecture is that it’s (probably) being played on your (Japanese?) Xbox 360.

If someone is looking for Stock parts from namco stick. check out the old stick from hori’s they are same stock parts as namco but different color only. i was able to get stock parts from my friend brett that he had from his old soul calibur ps2 stick green buttons and red too. those buttons are the same as namco and the joystick too.

meus do you know when Hori went from these better parts to the crappy stock parts that they use today? I know the Tekken 5 stick had pretty trashy stock parts in it, so it has to be before that.
Wow I have to say that I was playing Tekken 5 DR. I have never played it before and all day i’ve been trying to hit Kazuya’s EWGF. I was playing with my Wii Stick which I modded with a Sanwa (Shortened Shaft) that plays on PS2 to PS3 with converter. Couldn’t hit it for the life of me. I switch over to the Namco stick and now i’m hearing the glorious “Dorya!!”
The last model of joystick that hori made with better parts was for soul calibur 2 ps2 round 2001 to 03. Thats the last time hori made better parts.
All i know the sticks that have parts like namco, are soul calibur 2 for ps2, CG consoles with green colors, Tekken 3 with yellow like namco stick Tekken 4 with vermillion colors
All those sticks have namco type parts since hori made parts for namco company.
So if u guys have chance to grab one to it. I have all green and vermillion buttons and stick thanks to my friend Brett and they are like namco parts alike.

I tried a Namco stick last week. I just have to say wow the parts are amazing. Feels like a nice mix between Sanwa and Seimitsu.
Indeed. The stock joystick and buttons are the best IMO hands down.
