]\/[N`Thread:One ]\/[an down stiLL I/\Ie cant be sTopPeD!

we dont need to bring our sticks, right?

won’t be a regular, though. it’s just spring break and all that no-homework jazz :stuck_out_tongue:
what’dja want on AIM, big Mike?

Between bMike, me and Maobei, we have enough sticks for 2 people on 3 systems at once to play. Bring your sticks if you want, but if you can’t, then no biggie.

Bring your sticks if your comfortable with them. Nothing worse than “I’m used to my stick and my moves aren’t coming out”… etc…

i felt that directed towards me somehow :stuck_out_tongue:

Do you have massticks that are compatiable with X-Box, or those other ones (i forget the brand name)?

mas and other ones are xbox compatible

Hey, Mike, do you have any game posters? This is so we can show you and/or someone being interviewed with the game poster behind them, representing that they play games. Oh, yeah… when do you usually end your games now? Evening? Late at night? We plan on coming at around 4:00pm.

we usually start around noon and end at around 11pm

Yall need to broaden y’alls horzions. That probably whats wrong with the scene here, its too segregated and people hold too many baises.

I agree that it’s good to keep an open mind about different games, however, be aware that some games are just not worth playing because they aren’t very good in the first place. For instance, I don’t think many serious fighting gamers would consider MK5 or 6 to be a good fighting game. It just has no balance, no originality and it’s not very deep. Overall, that game is just not worth playing.

The same thing happens even for 2d games. For instance Capcom Fighting Jam is a mediocre mishmash of 2d fighters that is also fairly unbalanced. In addition, it just isn’t that fun. Comparing it to other, good games, such as 3S or CvS2, there just is very little reason to play CFJ over those other, better games.

I think that most of us feel the same way about Tekken. It’s not that we hate 3D. We play a bit of SC2 and VF4 and enjoy those to a certain extent. Obviously, we all prefer 2D games to the 3D games, but we don’t lump all 3D games together and say that they’re bad. The reason we don’t like Tekken is that it’s unbalanced and isn’t as deep as we would like it to be. We prefer other games over Tekken, thus we consider Tekken to be a mediocre game. Of course, we like to have a little fun at Tekken’s expense, so we end up being a bit cruel towards it. It’s not really that terrible a game, it’s just that there is little reason to play that game when there are games that are so much better (at least as far as we’re concerned).

Im not a Tekken fan, (i suck at it, btw), but how can you say that it isnt deep? Whats so deep about doing qcf’s, qcb, hcf, hcb, etc, when you have buffering, quite a large move list and combos and wide range of characters that have different styles that reflect on that? Can you be more specific?
