yeah Rob, it gets annoying, yes. i don’t like the poking per se, but i do like the lead-ins for a 360-superjump-jab. the bit about cvs2 that’s fun is the slightly speedier gameplay without a huuuuge difference from 3S. i might be getting to dumb to play ggxx. i just ran out of things to do in that game (in my head, at least). i couldn’t think of things that can trick people any more. the overheads are gimp slow, and you can block all day and faultless/pushblock farther away… and when playing against Rob, i can’t attempt throw mixups :stuck_out_tongue:

i guess cvs2 in A groove is like a slower ggxx ^_^;;
i dunno. i’m starting to get too old to have decent reactions or something because i’m slow in my movements now ><
blah. oh wells. i guess it all comes down to this: poking is annoying, but the adrenaline from a tachi or a CC makes some of the waiting worth it. sometimes normal ticks (repeatedly landing them in a row) gives a decent rush. mebbe i should just go buy some stimpacks and stop playing altogether if it’s just for an adrenaline rush :stuck_out_tongue:

it’s all about the rush of momentum in your favor. How could you ever stop playing fighting games? Shit is too good. CC’ing through attacks is sexy, painting the fence make my day. I know taking 60% in one hit does it for Stefan.

i’m not good at one-hit wonders. sagat makes my teeth bleed. blanka makes my pancreas rupture. Cammy is girly… but hp/hk… yeah.
play something with style, dammit. use rolento against Vice/Zangief/Raiden :stuck_out_tongue:

Actually, I prefer the rushdown, frustration building, overwhelming, can’t-think-that-fast action more than the one-hit = 60%. That’s why I use N-groove and you know that’s how I play my Yamazaki and Hao. To a certain extent I play my Sagat and Blanka that way too. Rush, poke, poke, run, short jump, etc. I know that you like to do this with your Iori (which happens to be quite effective against me). The 60% (more like 40% vs same ratio) super is just icing. If you don’t just sit there and let me poke you and rush you down (usually just run, crossup MK into electricity, rinse, repeat), you’ll eat 1/2 life.

that’s why i’m learning wakeup timing and wakeup RCs :stuck_out_tongue:
when i can fend you off from wakeup games, i can worry about how to play the rest of the game (other than the dying parts, i’m toptier at that)

so we’re back on schedule for this saturday. Who’s gonna bring the chips and salsa? I’m going to try and scrounge up for some soda again.

mmm. today’s test felt like a good and plenty buttraping. with me being the sodomizer. hope to visit my friday’s test when it drops the soap, too.
muaha. then i’ll have a clear(relative) mind for saturday :stuck_out_tongue:
welcome to Vice City :stuck_out_tongue:

Frank

Anyone wants to school me and a friend in some 3S sometime? We play alot of X-Box (damn controllers), but we can play using some regular controllers (and i have my own 6-button).

dude take the bus to our house saturday we start at noon… we play xbox too. we have compatible sticks.

we got a ride man. just give me the address/directions and voila.

Cool, psuedo-new person. I’m in for this Saturday. Kat, Mike’s address is 5900 Zenith Ave N. Here are directions from St. Paul:

Take I-94 West up to 694 (or you can take 35W or 35E up to 694 West).
Merge into 694 West.
take the Brooklyn Blvd exit.
turn left (south) on Brooklyn Blvd.
go about 1/2 mile to 59th Ave and turn left (east).
go 3 blocks.
Mike’s house is on the corner of Zenith and 59th Ave (north-east corner).
Come in through the side door, wipe shoes…

Hopefully that should get you to Mike’s ok. If you want to look him up on Mapquest, he lives in Brooklyn Center (since you need the city). I think I saw you at the summer Neo-Geo gathering last year. It’ll be good to see you again.

Stefan’s directions are spot on… feel free to walk right in the side door. I’ll put a sign on the side door so you know it’s the right house.

Let’s do this… let’s start as early as you guys want to show up.

Do you people play any #R, SC2, VF4?

If so. Prepared to get thrown / RO’d / ninja’d or monk’d.

okay, right now, we are trying to see what time are we both free on saturday, so i doubt we will be walkin in at noon or whatever.

Evendro: Yo, me and my homie plays SC2, and VF4, and we also play DOA if your down.

Stefan: Hey, how do you look like again? Did you play CvS with me?

Big Mike: It’s be good seein you again.

PEACE

Stefan looks like a circus midget. without the polka dots or the humor. and he smells like a circus (read: elephant piss).

/me runs for the border before Stefan checks this ^_~

Run little man, run… :badboy: :nunchuck:

I forget which games I played with you Kat, but I think it might have been CvS2. I’m a white guy with blonde hair. If you were playing any Capcom games and getting beat down, then that was probably me .

Can you give me a descripton on who you were playing against? Race, height, hair, etc…

Name: Stefan der’GranitePfister
Race: Dwarf (he’s a tank)
Height: 3’7" (pretty tall for his race)
Hair: 63 year beard (down by his knees)
Class: None (or at least very, very low)

roofles. he rolls 1’s

Thanks Kat for showing up. Bring your Xbox 3S version next time and I’ll show you how to play that game.

Stefan and Maobei-That last splurge of 3S playing was fucking dope. Mad parries Stefan! DOPE!

Let’s play more #R chars. Who should I learn next? What char do you think would fit my rushdown style.
