So I’m finally in a good spot to respond to the Guilty Gear post. One of the main reasons I’m not uber crazy about #reload is the fact that I’ve seen Kyo–a very solid Sol player–repeatedly miss dust loops. Fact is they are very hard to do in this version. Almost akin to kara palm difficulty. So it’s hard to see my main character get ass raped that way. BUT… I have practicing once again and the loops are getting easier.
Character wise I do agree we should play with more diversity. It just takes so long to learn a GG char as opposed to a 3S char. IMO. Also I’m not sure who would fit my style. Big combos, rushdown, mixup, pressure… maybe you gg heads can help me out with that. RoboKy looks interesting.
So the GG pill at this point is hard to swallow but I am trying. I practiced my loops for hours last night. I am getting somewhat more consistent. People’s weight has a LOT more to do with them now. Whereas before there were 3 groups of weights now there is more.

Bmike, I think we all had our mains raped, except for Testament.
With the new FRC timing on Dizzy’s ice spike, I can’t do nearly the damage I could before. . . So to compensate, I have to abuse the other moves they made faster (notably, her air ones). She also gained a few new FRCs, but I haven’t been able to use them. . . Mostly because they’re useless out of a combo, and the axe especially does the best damage on a CH, and I can’t FRC that on reaction to a CH, since the FRC window starts about immediately after the attack button is pressed.
I dunno about GG characters taking longer to learn than 3S characters. . . Cause I’ve been trying 3S for like what, months, a year, and I can’t even put up a fight yet. . . But if what you’re saying is true, since you -have- learned lots of 3S characters, and think that GG ones have more options, if you will, then maybe the reason I freaking suck at 3S is because I’m trying to outsmart myself?
I started playing Yang for the hell of it. I still can’t beat more than 4 cpus on the arcade mode, but so far my entire game looks like, poke>ex strikes, over and over and over. Plus, my strong button still sucks ass, so I can’t really do that much anyway, but yeah. . .
Anyway, I’m curious, am I the only one who thinks there needs to be a new game that everyone will universaly agree on? It kinda blows being split essentially down the middle. . .

btw All yang does is pressure/punish with Rekka Ken. Mixup into command grab and do more punch combos. Really good link with him is s.strong, s.short, ex punches.
big Mike… i got some random Vice ticks and combos practiced and i think i can quasi-RC and incorporate it into my random stuff. so i dunno. accuracy for RC is like 50% or so ;_;
but Vice: RC fierce shoulder>airgrab == sexy sexy shit for ~10-15% for same ratios

after that, i THINK you can get another dp.A, but i wasn’t ever fast enough. you might be able to get it since you play CC’s and bison and shit like that
that combo right there (without the final dp) does like 119 on Jae Hoon in training (i accidentally had TOP on).
also… beefier combo:
[j.C>s.C>qcfx2.B>j.C>s.C>qcfx2.B>j.C>s.C] >qcf.B break>dp.A == 126 (in TOP)
you can also go and do
[stuff] feint>d.C>qcf.B break>dp.A for a bit more damage.
i gots the “beefy” combo recorded in nebula emulator if you wanna watch it, but i’m sure you can get the timing yourself… since the toughest timing involved in the “beefy” combo is the qcf.B break>dp
the one with the punch super (the on your video has j.C>s.C down feint>d.AB towards feint>d.C>qcf.B break pause>qcfx2.A pause>qcb.A hold, pause, release etc etc…
the one iwht the punch super i can’t get to continue after the second super+qcb.A hold release… so see if you can snag another DP after you release early. i’m sure the damage will go like… obscene without TOP.
Sol isn’t worth alot in #Reload, IMO…Oh well.

Just curious… how far away are you?
If I’m assuming things correctly, Nappy lives in West Allis, which is a suburb of Milwaukee. It’s about a 6 hour drive to get to Milwaukee. I don’t think that I can afford (time/work-wise) to go down for a 4-day weekend anytime soon. If we do go down, I’d like to have it planned out for a few weeks at the least, and preferably wait until the weather is a bit nicer (read: not snowy).
