That’s some compensation I guess. Would still rather have it the other way round, but what can you do? Maybe Spidey’s approach is gonna involve a lot of grounded web zips in unison with web ball?

i’m still just going to do air L web balls, just now i get to cancel them with web zip so I get tangible pressure instead of low risk low reward “zoning”

M. Web Ball, cancelled into Web Zip is going to begat some pretty safe and interesting approaches that make up for the air dash nerf.

i am curious to see the properties and setup changes players will have to make for the ultimate web throw to connect for their combos/resets

im actually starting to think that all these things we all are looking at for spidey is kinda off…

we all are kinda wondering about the air dash nerf and how will that affect our approach. but ive been running simulations in my head that if you do it correctly that it wouldnt matter much.
yes, its a little bit of a risk that webdashing in isnt as safe but you dont want to be webdashing in reclessly anyways.
well i always covered my approach with an assist. and he still has an insane wavedash and also good mobility in the air.

as far as the web OTG its not going to boost our damage by much IMO if we cant combo anything else after it except MS.
you still need an assist to extend that combo portential.
IMO OTG zip is just one more way to compensate for his lack of options after a few things before.
which is definatley a good thing esp if he can combo after certain assists. (NOVA and iron fist im looking at you)

and about the UWT change if my calculations are correct it should be able to hit a little bit higher up above and in front of spidey…and as a bang in player in BB most people usually try jumping up back to get out of pressure on inctsinct…
and it seems the way i play spidey. if this seems to be the case when they cant push block me out i can web zip and dash back in. sooooo…would it be able to grab them out of the air?? much like if you air dash in to command grab with bang in BB? it usually catches people slipping and nets you a HUGE ammount of damage.

this needs testing as if they are neutral jumping in the corner and trying to get out and away this is a HUGE too cause it wont be just for the UWT reset you actually can use UWT as an AA when they are trying to get away from you rushdowns.

Anybody find out if web throw is zip cancelable when whiffed? It will be his easiest move to use in blockstrings to stay safe and on the offensive.

web throw isnt zip cancelble at all, its only web ball,web swing and spider sting

1- can he shoot webzip any new direction ? ( webzip directly to down would be perfect)
2- his air dash is now auto track ? (it is Really EASY to do a air dash and spider goes away from the enemy)
3- his webzip can crossup in the corner ?
4- still only the spider swing H does softknock down ?
5-his maximum spider seens a little more easy to hit the enemy ? ( can the maximum spider easely hit after a web throw or a super jump height enemy ? )
6- Maximum Spider has ANY frame advantage ? ( a ridiculous s.L could win over maximum spider -_- )

His air dash never tracked only web zip did unless you input a separate direction. If you mean in crossup situations then again that’s a system mechanic and not a spidey issue

a lot of attacks makes cross up in corner ( dash of zero, teleport of dormammu) and others no ( teleport of wesker, web zip)

i really cant see how broken would be spider with this property

anyway, one more curiosity:

7 - can he shoot more than one web zip in air ?

I rather they remove that function IMO. Corners just aren’t the same as what they use to be :sad: but it’s a new day. Spidey would be extra dumb with this ability though. Dashing under in a combo to get a web throw to the corner is one thing but being able to crossup into the corner with mulitple moves would have definitely made Spidey damn near close to broken, if not broken definitely used on a lot more meter dependent teams as his ability as a battery character is very good when on the offensive.

like CA, wallbounce, launcher into air BNB of choice into MS??

There’s a couple on my page just go to YouTube and look for xero18. How do you figure he’d still be bad if he had the ability to crossup in the corner phantasy? I would think that would make him more versatile with pressure assist

yea… I definitely need to get a Crawler Assault combo up and running because I never had one. I only used it for countering other supers because of the invincibility
