Hey everyone. I’ve got a basic Frank combo which involves using Nemesis’ Launcher Slam assist and Wesker’s Samurai Edge, this combo get’s you to level 3 easily and it’s viable across the screen if your execution permits it.
LMHS, (Air) MMHS, A1 (Nemesis Launcher Slam.) Snapshot, Cr.H, S, Air MMHS, A2 (Wesker Samurai Edge, Snapshot into Blue Light Special or Survival Techniques. Will reach Level 3. 562k damage
You can substitute the Nemesis assist for Akuma Demon Flip assist as it gives a ground bounce but the timing is a little bit trickier.
Also, make sure they’re all in white, it’s good to have you swagger in check. LOL
Frank colour 3, Nemesis colour 6 and Wesker colour 6.
Easiest I’ve seen to get Frank to Lvl. 4. In the corner:

you guys should not be building your team around getting Frank to level 5. This is a bad idea, since your assists will most likely only be good for extending combos when you need assists for getting in, in this game. You build a team that works well when it comes to opening up your opponent and then search for ways to level up frank. My team is Skrull, Frank, Sentinel. It has really good synergy and I figured out a way to get frank to level 5 if I hit or grab my opponent at any time with Skrull even at the beginning of the match. Also, work on combos that work any where first, and then focus on your corner combos once you have the BnBs down.
I definitely agree with GimR here. I run Nova/Frank/Sentinel and it’s been working pretty well. All of my characters’ assists help each each other out well and I have some good DHC options to work with. I can also get Frank to level 4/5 easily if needed if Nova connects with anything. I can also place Frank on point and still have great options. Speaking of placing Frank on point, I don’t think he needs to have a team built around him at all. Level 5 makes him very good but he’s not a bad character at under that. I might just make a thread focusing on analysis his moves pool and options at each level since every other thread seems to be more about level 4/5 combos or ways to get there.

I’m totally sold on Cap/Frank/Hulk. Love the DHC’s and always an opportunity to level up. Huge hulk damage is always a nice fall back.
I run a Cap/Frank/Arthur secondary team and I love the synergy between Cap and Frank. You can land every hit of Charging Star before DHC into Frank’s shopping cart, that’s really nice. I imagine when you’re using Hulk you go with the Gamma Crush after shopping cart? That’s pretty spiffy!
I can’t seem to get a good way to get good snapshots from Cap to Frank though, do you do something special? I rely on the Frank/Arthur THC to get to Level 3.
You’d be correct on that, It’s pretty good damage. As far as leveling up frank goes, Cap combo TAC frank with some plunger stabs and I’ level 2 or 3. I just work it from there. I find once I hit level three I’m fine but if I get any opportunity to go level 4 i take it
I am having the hardest time making L Tools link in the air like many combo tutorials have Frank doing. Any tips?
Besides practice really no. I had a hard time at first but once I got the timing a couple of times it’s been pretty gravy. I rarely drop it now. I always use j.M right before it but I’m sure you already were doing that.
Hmm, so…
(Ground Series), j.M, Tools L, … what to do after that? I’ve seen it done different ways. Some people insert another j.M, Tools L, j.M, Tools L . My opponent just about always falls out of the combo when I attempt another button press after the first Tools in the air. Am I going too slow perhaps? Is the combo easier if you use j.H or j.L ?
I use j.M and do two reps before I ground/wall bounce and or snapshot. I think there are different ways though. Rocket raccoon, joe, etc… sometimes fall out so I only do one rep on them till I get better. With the right assist you can relaunch and level up more. I want to say you can use H tools after you do one rep of j.M, L tools, j.S and relaunch but I can’t remember or test atm since my xbox is acting jacked up

However I’m working on a midscreen combo, and while the timing is sort of tight, I’m pretty sure from anywhere on the screen after standing wallbounce chainsaw ( :qcf: ) you can dash afterwards and launch. Leads to a lot of options and potentially corner combo from anywhere on the screen, still working on it though, so not sure, could be old too, I’m new to Frank.
For a Mid-screen Lvl 4/5 Frank, I do a very basic relaunch combo: L,M, cr.M, H, cr.H, launcher, MMHS, qcf.H (otg hammer), cr.H, launcher, MMHS, DP H(otg roundhouse kick) xx Tools of Survival Super. Builds over a bar if I’m not mistaken and with a DHC (into rekkouha in my case since I run Zero), it deals over 800k. For a corner combo I might start doing yours though because that’s a thing of beauty
Hey guys. I usually use Nova to level up Frank. However, if I happen to lose Nova and have to count on Frank to level himself up, what is the most reliable combo to use? I see a lot of people using a combo involving Tools of Survival H. Is that the one from the Brady Guide?
With Iron Fist and Dr.Doom u can get Frank Level 4 Meterless
