My Most Violent Shot: The Frank West combo thread

After looking at all of the practical combos created in this thread, I have decided to create the single most pointless and stupid Frank West combo ever!
This combo uses 4 ground-bounce moves, 1 wall-bounce move, the assists from my Frank team Dante(Jam Session) and Nova ( :m: Centurion Rush) are used, Frank must be at either level 4 or 5 (total damage presented in transcript is an estimate from the level 5 version), it is completely impractical as it requires you to be close to the corner and as it starts with his overhead :h: tools of destruction, in other words DO NOT TRY TO USE THIS COMBO EVER AN ACTUAL MATCH!!!

This does 946k, if all the hits connect.

So, what do we have for highest, Solo L5 Frank damage? I’m up to 982k on Wesker, no assist no x-factor, with some shenanigans.

Not sure how we look on using assists for damage, but I’ve broken a million with one bar with L5 Frank

As for getting to level 5, well that can be done with 2 bars and no THC/TAC easily with both Frank and Dante on point

Well, yeah, assists let you add a lot more, 'course. You can up the damage on that first one a bit, though. There’s a technique you can use at the end of combos that I haven’t seen mentioned, but…

Instead of s236:h: -> Etc at the end of a combo… you can do…

Combo -> Hard Knockdown -> Jump -> j236:h:, land, 214:l:, 236:m: xx 214:atk::atk:

236:m: xx Hyper still works, even if the wallbounce has already been used, and is the best damage option that I can tell. 236:l: is easier, and does a tiny bit less. 623:m: -> 623:h: xx Hyper is easiest, but does the least damage out of the three options.

His Level 4+ j236:h: -> s214:l: works midscreen, as well, and can be followed with s:s: / 236:l: / Roundhouse Kick x 2. And zombie-toss is no slouch on damage. It’s definitely worth it.

Don’t think that this has been posted yet, but here’s a video for a solo Lv. 5 Frank combo that does over 900K. No assists. No XF. One meter. Corner-only. The combo itself builds two meters.

Okay, I think we’ve all manage to come up with more than enough instances of frank hitting level3+ from one assist, or 5+ with a team super. How about some grab combos, to round out his game? Even with assists, he has a really hard time opening anyone up in level 1, so I think we need to make every limited tool he starts out with count.

I’ve been desperately trying to find solid level up combos for frank off of a grab. The thing that really sucks is that his animation recovery feels like it takes FOREVER. Like, I can’t otg with an assist (tried wesker and deadpool), and most assists I’ve tried haven’t worked out. Here’s what I have right now:

Forward throw, call dante assist (jam session), snapshot, dash forward, jump, j.m, j.m, j.H, j.S, land, M, S, superjump, MMH d.H, snapshot, optional end in super.

Dante assist tacks on 8-10 hits, pending. Gets frank to level 3 (totaling ~25PP), can get him to level 4 if you use a second assist to continue the combo. Can be started from a forward air grab. Fairly certain that it can be done from a back grab as well, but my execution isn’t consistant enough for it. Does anyone know of any other assists that let frank hit levels from grabs?

P.S.: Everyone, just pick dante. He’s just too good for frank. The man helps frank out in literally every conceivable way a character COULD, minus round harvest. Just do it.

Actually, since I’ve been using Trish, I came up with a few combos that Frank can do after a mixup with the Peekaboo assist on an incoming character, provided he rolls into the corner. I think they could use improving though.

Works for Levels 3-5
jump, :qcf::l:, air :s:, land, :s:, super jump forward, air :m: :m: :h: :s:, land, :dp::h: or :qcf::s:, :qcb:+2atk
does 516.800.

Here’s an alternate variation that ends with Blue Light Special:
jump, :qcf::l:, air :s:, land, :s:, super jump forward, air :m: :m: :h: :qcf::l:, :s:, land, :qcf:+2atk
does around 420k, much better with a DHC followup. you can also end with a THC, and if you’re at level 4, jump up while the opponent is still getting hit by Round Harvest and snap a photo. This still doesn’t do very much, but allows for a 40+ hit photo op.

In general though it’s better to just roll out of the corner and do a regular corner combo, especially if you’re just at Level 2.

If anyone has more damaging combos for this setup, let me know. I have a terrigood feeling that this partnership is going to be more popular soon…

Another level 5 corner combo 99,300 damage, no assists, no xf. It’s the same as one of the combos above, but it starts from a jB (3 hit) jB(2hit) jC. Just thought it was cool Frank can get almost to 1mil by himself ;D [media=youtube]Bc_4hE8YVSw[/media]

I need to work on a level 3 combo for Frank.

I play Frank West with Dante (Jam Session) and Nova (Centurion rush) so getting myself to level 5 in a single combo at the very start of the match is surprisingly easy for me to do.
Trust me, once you get there, you’ll never want to go back…

Just hit 1.024m assistless, good stuff. I’ll record it and put it up. Probably with some lulzy assist extensions in a separate version too.

Dere we go. Official millionaire’s club, etc etc. Hit 1.111m with assists, but my PC is acting up and don’t feel like fighting with it to record it when it messed up the first two captures, har.

Here’s my level 1 bnb to level 4 for my Frank (shopping cart) / Ghost Rider (hellfire) / Sentinel (drones) team. It work anywhere on the screen builds 1 meter and uses 2 so it can be used as opening combo:

Awesome vid, thanks for posting! Really looking forward to some lab time with Frank West soon, I’ve got this thread bookmarked =).

I’m seeing a lot of combo’s that use characters that I don’t… so here’s my FW 1>3 BnB with Dorm’s Dark Hole assist. Works on Large and Medium sized characters.

:l::m::h::d::h::s:, :uf: (sj follow up), j:m:, j:m:, j:h:, j:qcf::l:, j:m:, j:s:, land, :a2: and :f::f: as soon as you touch the ground, while dashing buffer :qcf::h: (ToS OTG Axe to knock them into Dark Hole), :s:, :m::m::h:,:d::h:, land, :qcf::s: (you’ll get lvl3 off this and it will OTG into…), :qcb: :atk::atk:… from here I’ve been testing whiffing Hulk’s Gamma Tsunami and then trying a Gamma Wave relaunch coupled with Shopping Cart Assist (I was able to land a Gamma Tornado Reset as the Shopping Cart Assist pops the really high in the air). For pure damage I just DHC in Hulk’s Space Boulder for a grand total of about 829,000dmg. I don’t try for multiple Plunger Poke loops in the air because I wanted to keep it simple and “doable”.

Builds a little over 1 meter, you can burn the second if you want, and gets you to lvl 3.

The OTG Axe into Dark Hole is almost a half-screen away in distance when you land the first time that’s why you call Dorm in while you dash once and then ToS OTG. Luckily Frank’s axe has a hit-box at the tip where it enters the ground causing a little “splash”.

Small characters (I tested RR, Wolvie, and Hsien-ko) seem to be finicky what with how they float while in air. So I had to come up with some work arounds:

:m::h::d::h::s:, :uf: (sj follow up), j:l:, j:m:, j:h:, j:qcf::l:, j:s:… etc. For some reason j:m::m::h: makes them float high into the effective “area” for landing the typical j:m:, j:s: after :qcf::l:.

:l::m::h::d::h::s:, :uf: (sj follow up), j:m:, j:m:, j:h:, j:qcf::h:, land, :a2: (Dark Hole) + :qcf::h: (ToS Axe) for OTG into relaunch is a nice simple way to handle light characters and still get into Lvl3.

I most certainly can but it’s gonna have to wait until Friday/Saturday since this week’s a busy one for me.

Weskers OTG does work if you use a camera shot at the same time. You can then link a launch after it into 2 reps of tools of survival L, then hit them down and get two camera’s off of Dante for level 4. It’s not as bad as it sounds

i’ve got a lot of ideas in my head with this character and i think this one might work (Haven’t tried it yet, but i have a feeling it just might)
