Whiff punishing lariat with H.Clap is extremely frustrating and something you really should practice in training mode before trying. Because lariat is projectile invincible and claps are projectiles you can’t clap too soon or you’ll clap straight through them and clapping to late can cause a spd.
Also after exGreen Hand going for a spd isn’t recommended against a Zangief who knows the match-up. Zangief can just neutral-jump your spd attempt and do this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oubVjBRsJn4 Into U1 if he has it for some serious damage.
Against Dhalsim I jump over the fireball and do a delayed press. A lot of dhalsim’s use st.HK (?) if you jump over a fireball but if you’re full screen and jumping over a fireball there is actually a sweetspot where press beats st.hk clean. If Dhalsim starts adepts and using jump lp(?) then you can use jump.mk to beat that. And it depends though, if I have the lifelead I’ll walk back. and try to build some meter.
Viper can only seismo sjc seismo on block or hit. Which means that as long as you’re dodging those seismo she can’t pressure you. DD+MK is the answer to seismo pressure if a regular seismo whiffs you get 1 free dash, EX recovers a lot faster so you can dash but probably can’t use dd+MK to dodge the next seismo so it might be better to just wait and go for dd+mk again. If you do happen to stand close enough after a seismo whiffs, you actually have enough time to use H.clap or dash and kara EX UT.
Gen’s kicks are harder to AA because they are even close to each other than Chun’s.

I have a bunch of videos on my Channel as Hugo. I’m learning a lot by just trying to embrace the character as a whole. I need to work on hitting UT, but always psych myself out thinking it’ll whiff. I’m also relying too much on on EX lariat, and not enough on meat squasher. I play on PC now because it’s more convenient than playing on the Xbox.
