I’ve been playing a Ryu/Dante recently and it seems pretty solid. Obviously Dante works with everyone but I did find the players Ryu to be very good and Dante/Soul complimented the team very well.
Yea any of your top tiers are going to be good for ryu I would assume. Zero, Dante, ultron, dorm, nova would be my guess. I used ryu/cap for awhile but I don’t think it would work very well with anymore with the way they changed reality stone.
But Winter Soldier should be played more like a Ghost Rider archetype, long range snipe type character. He has fantastic hit confirms from full screen, he has armour on his “armour piercer” specials, he has his idgaf shield that can help hit confirm up close, he has lots of utility and mixup potential with his grenades which should be used situational. To be + on things like grenades and guns would just be ridiculous. He’s not Cable.
Well every special move can be effectively made plus with a tag. If you have someone like Dante behind him there will most likely be ways to gain advantage with grenade or guns into tag. If I was playing Winter Soldier I’d always tag off of his shit into someone else then just use him to tag combo convert after the other guy lands a hit. Just use him as an assist basically.
The same way Ghost Rider players use Ghost Rider. They don’t spend long bouts swinging around Ghost Rider’s shit. His shit is much better used to tag off into other characters. Instant j.HPxxxtag, whip superxxxtag, motorcycle superxxxtag etc.
Grenades + Time Stone. They bounce off walls and still remain if they fall off screen or switch to another character, so they can be hard to see when used in specific setups.
Exactly, he has no overhead or crossup because he’s supposed to be played at long range and punish, and use his armour utility to close the gap if he has to.
You have an entire second to hit confirm from qcf+lk from full screen into a switch and combo with another character and it doesn’t scale anywhere near as hard as you’d think it would.
Bucky is upper mid to high, if his projectiles couldn’t be reflected I’d say he was upper high tier.
I’ll even accept his combos being fucked due to the damage HSD, but the first hit of j.LP needs to hit overhead in levels 4/5! That alone would make him much scarier to fight.
