You have to be careful with some of these videos. A lot of times the starter is j hp st hp which inflates thd damage and if it done on a big bodu that also inflates the damage. Loght attacks will scale the combo by 1k.
You are totally correct. All BnB should basically be cr.lp,cr.lk,cr.hp as a universal confirm starter to see what the damage really is.
Itās not every combo where you get fly jhp xx airdash jhp, st.hp,st.hk,cr.hp as a starter.
Itās basic combo bloat every game goes through with optimal starters versus inoptimal ones.
L M or H? Damn you really donāt have this game LOL.
Another thing I like about the game is that all of the rapid fire lows are gone. No more Magneto/Wolverine c.L times N into combo that barely scales. Now if you even land that one c.LK your combo is going to scale a bit, but you canāt rapid fire. Itās crazy that Dante used to be able to rapid fire his low gun.
Thereās definitely a lot of things to get used too. Iām still getting used to no meaty crouching lights and other low attack anomalies. I swear itās hard as fuck to tag people bunnying around in this game and my short assed characters have a hard time catch pre-jump frames. If you got a mashable standing jab with some height in this game youāre in a great place.
Yeah poverty is forreal lol. Still rocking my ps3. I will have the game on Nov 1st so I cam catch up and see what yoi guys see firsthand. For now all I can do is watch matches and assume.
For some reason Iāve been feeling like Iām rockin exaggerated input lag in this game. What are some factors I should look for on PC? Am I trippin? Going to check my monitor specs/switch it up too.
You gotta commit to your lows now bro. Plus it would be rather stupid with new chicken block rules where chicken blocking a projectile breaks your guard
Something Iāve recently put together. There definitely seems to be a clear difference in regular throw ranges (at least on the ground) for different characters. In Marvel 3 certain characters might have had better normals for air throwing or better trajectories, but canāt remember if there was an actual range difference.
On the ground for instance, Dante basically has like command grab worthy range on his regular throw. You can be almost a clear character away from the opponent and still grab them with f+HP.
Random thought: Maybe it is me, but I have always thought Coach Steve is overrated as hell. Among the top players he is one of the weaker players in my opinion. I donāt get what the hype about him is. Even watching him play infinite I feel like his game isnāt as good as the other elites.
If weāre talking about the meta in the neutral specifically, then I think Time > Reality. Reality is a great tool for controlling space and locking a player down, we see time and time again (no pun intended) players just stuck in the corner unable to get passed the Reality orb, and I just wonder why theyāre not trying to counter pick the opponent.
Players seem to approach the game and think āhmm, box of shame! I like rushdown characters and I want to run all over them so Iāll pick Space and base my team around that.ā Then they face Reality and get their ass handed to them, because theyāve picked a stone that doesnāt have the tools to negate the extra control in the neutral that Reality adds.
So Time offers so many opportunities to clear the neutral, get out the corner and re-establish dominance in many scenarios, and imo I think that factor is more important than the benefits that Reality brings in the first place.
Time is massively under rated, from messing around this last month and sticking almost exclusively with Time, Iāve found it to be a life saver as well as a door opener. On top of what Iāve mentioned above, Time storm gives lows multi hitting properties allowing fast characters to run in and out and perform better mixups at greater speeds giving them legit hit confirms as standard. block this, low low low overhead low something you canāt do in a fixed match.
So for me, I think Time is near the top of the list, it just hasnāt been explored properly yet. Reality is a scrub killer, it is in effect a core component of team scrub, probably includes some combination of Ultron/FChamp/Reality, etc.
I think spending a storm just for the chance of opening someone up is way too expensive a use of resources. To me, the whole deal with Time stone is the fact that it has the best general use surge.
