Really hate how they made Dante
How does everyone feel about Thor in this game?

I think heās pretty good but slow. His hammer on the ground goes through projectiles and is a good lockdown, his air hammer thing that has a million armor is a good divekick style move to just go in with priority and tag to get frame advantage on hit or block.
His slowness makes him hard to use.
Captain marvel has issues getting in imo, but I donāt think Thor does as muchā¦ itās just that Thor has issues with his accuracy on his specials for getting in.
Definitely not easy to use either way.
Captain Marvel seems easy enough. Fish for blitz blow, land blitz blow, go HAM.
Activate photon absorber and play like MarlinPie.
Thor is lowkey really good, slow normals arenāt a big deal when Dante and Dormammu are top tier. He has every tool you could ask for.
He plays almost exactly like his umvc3 version.
I like Thor in this game. Easy access to Hyper armor and Super armor while advancing, Good movement, good damage and easy hit confirms from his neutral tools. His normals are a bit slower and he cannot rapid fire anything so you have to be a bit more deliberate which is hard to grasp for some.
I think thereās anything low key about him being good. People just donāt like to play the character because he canāt mash.
Space stone Iām starting to feel is the most legit pace controller in this game if youāre BOX fight game is on point. Kept getting firebrand mercād early in my matches versus the armies of Dantes (stubby arms and throwing your body at sword normals just doesnāt work very well) last night and ran it back with Coon about 4 times. (Did you know Groot will eat take a reality stone projectile to the face?)
I really have to start reacting faster to Groot anti air hits. I could be winning much more decisively as people eat that shit like its cake.
I might get burned for it, but I want to train myself to fire a qcf.lk stun gun every time I make a Groot AA call.

Tiger knee that shit for less recovery. Iām training myself to hover on that tag button to firebrand to setup my vortex. Gotta start playing the game like theyāre one character, tagging all the time is really a thing. Once I started putting tag+special into my game it really opened up Firebrands toolset. Thereās a bit of finger gymastics to really whore the open gameplay in this game.
My only concern is with these infinites discovered so early that it may stagnate it for a lot of people. Nowadays things were bound to get figured out quickly since everyoneās more knowledgeable, connected and thereās more incentive to get broken quickly.
Strange will be a good Space user, he has his spells to surround you in projectiles and teleports not only to avoid your attacks but also mix up his own. Iāve been messing with Dante/Strange-Space and while I havenāt figured out a lot, Strangeās box game seems to be really good. Obviously you just keep your distance, cast your spells in different formations and teleport around while projectiles and beams go flying towards the opponent. Get a hit and move in. Strange benefits from this system so much better than Ultimateā¦
True words and bolts is effin godlike support in this game. I like to mix my characters up but RR/Strange is so damn fun to fuck with people as long as RR is still alive on space. If I become confident in my Strange I can see him being a fixture on my teams def. Stick out that eye, lay down dat trap tags and teleports and space pulls what? Rockets trap electric trap helps strange setup in the air if he wants too.
Thor/Strange will lead us to salvation

Random non related thought that leads into a question.
My school in Texas had a umvc3 tournament (since most havenāt played or got infinite) and I curb stomped without dropping a game with Magneto Dante Strange (my trademark team). Since I will be playing Dante for sure in Infinite and I heard strange plays different than he did in ultimate (at least from what I was told and what I have seen) what character would fit the playstyle of a magneto in this game (please donāt say Ultron. I hate that character already). Since I canāt play til the first I am trying to see what characters I should focus on watching until then.
